i got:

Enthusiasm 97%
Musical Perception 99%
Emotional Connection 93%
Social Creativity 30%
Musical Curiosity 98%

And on the tests i got most of the right on the genres(didn't actually give a score for this one), 15/18 on match the beat, 5 high and 4 medium on tap to the beat and 8/12 on melody memory. What do i win? :)

Am i the only one who thinks this is a load of bollocks? Such as the genre test - i hate to pigeon hole a sound into a genre, and some of those clips were a bit dubious. Also all the questions about bloody singing... guess thats why i got a low social score because i don't like to sing in public. Now if i had a nice singing voice maybe i would but i don't.

I don't think this is total bollocks, but its not total accurate, so why use percentages is is beyond me.

Enthusiasm: 94%
Musical perception: 99%
Emotional connection: 100%
Social creativity: 88%
Musical curiosity: 96%

the main issue i had with the test was with the tap the rhythm section, and here is my question:
undoubtedly some of the pieces played could have been tapped in either double or half time, so did it subtract points if i tapped half or double the actual bpm?

The only really accurate part of that test was the Musical Perception thing, the rest are absolute bollocks as it's fucking obvious which answers will give you a high score. And don't get me started on the "group by genre" thing.

That being said:
Enthusiasm: 80%
Musical perception: 99%
Emotional connection: 57%
Social creativity: 44%
Musical curiosity: 49%

awwww yeah

muddled two of the clips of genres up (almost got thrown by the fact one of the tracks sounds like a sample of the wizzard by black sabbath with a the tail of a big boom bap kick behind it too. Bit of a trick that)

Dropped a couple on the on beat off beat thing

Very much so enjoyed this, good heads up.
I fucked up the first 6 questions of the last bit, cus i thought it simply said say it was the same or different, not if it was the exact melody in a diff pitch or the same melody in a diff pitch, so factor that in!

ALSO, Likert Scales are really poor measurements for this kind of thing. One person's "completely agree" is the next person's "moderately agree", so it really lacks objectivity. I tried to be as fair and realistic as possible.

Enthusiasm for Music: 59%
Musical Perception: 99%
Emotional Connection: 28%
Social Creativity: 88%
Musical Curiosity: 80%

Not too bad

i think the point is you answer honestly, not to get a score. because then any questionnaire is by default useless.

i also think the genre test was interesting, and it explains that people can, and do, identify a sound/genre within a beat or two of hearing it. I think it's supposed to be 'dubious' for some of the options, lest it be too easy and therefor pointless.

i did it yesterday so can't remember the individual bits, but i got an overall of 99%

FUCK. Well surprised by this. I should've persisted with the guitar my Dad bought me as a kid :u:
Still, i've only been producing a year tops so if I keep going maybe I can be really good at it one day.

Enthusiasm: 95%
Perception: 99%
Emtional Connection: 89%
Social Creativity: 83%
Musical Curiosity: 96%

Well shocked at how good I actually was

Didn't really like this test. It seems to have marked my musical creativity down (my social creativity was in the 30's) because I have social anxiety and don't feel comfortable singing or clapping or standing near people or breathing in their human air. Eugh.

At least the musical perception was at 99%.

I'd also like to have a word with whoever put the genre section together as there was DEFINITELY a funk sample and DEFINITELY a reggae one in there yet the only categories are hip hop, rock, pop and jazz? It would have been a lot easier if they had listed the four genres first so I could realise they were classifying anything with bass as hip hop, anything with guitars as rock, anything with brass as jazz and anything else as pop...

I might just do that...if I can be bothered. Which I probably can't. I thought the rest of the listening exercises were quite good though. I was sure I fucked up the tempo ones and seemed to get them all right which was interesting.

Spot on there. Without a shadow of doubt reggae and funk in there.

14/16
14/18
6 high 3 medium
8/12

thought i got loads wrong on the melody one, score was better than i thought it would be.

The questions section was a bit pointless i think.

Was kind of surprised at a couple of these scores:
Enthusiasm 97%
Musical Perception 83%
Emotional Connection 47%
Social Creativity 56%
Musical Curiosity 84%

Enthusiasm: 99%
Musical perception: 86%
Emotional connection: 100%
Social creativity: 59%
Musical curiosity: 98%

11/18 right on matching the beat
6 mediums and 3 highs on tapping to the beat
8/12 right on Melody Memory

Emotional Connection seems to be disturbingly high but I agree on most of the results

enthusiasm for music: 80%
musical perception: 99% 8)
emotional connection: 64% i'm so more connected than that
social creativity: 72% dunno what that even means
musical curiosity 98%

i'm pretty happy with the results. :m:
