Is Scrapyard in any other synth? :corndance:
nah but seriously if you keep practicing in 3xosc and distort like shit you can get some nice sounds, same applies for any. Just sit for a couple of hours learning what all the knobs do, and make some sounds while doing it :4:
i heard they licensed their wavetables from galbanum so it might be possible to get it if you buy their waveformpacks.
... BUT WHY WOULD YOU WANT SCRAPYARD IN THE FIRST PLACE? :?

Perhaps you should look into it a bit more? 3xOsc s good for certain things but not for what you're trying to achieve. You need to learn the basics first before you jump into trying to sound like Datsik or Excision. There are a lot of experienced producers on this forum who cant create that sound because as already stated, Datsik & excision use a lot of processing. A lot of their bass sounds are noises they've recorded and then resampled the fuck out of in order to make something that sounds like megatron taking an anal pounding off optimus prime.

lol I know about that joke...it is actually real and i downloaded it but it sucks and can't do much...Sumo VST is good tho...

and by the way, guys I DO have massive and albino 3. In Massive, I know about enough to do the same stuff as I can in 3xosc, and in Albino, I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing...its so confusing.

Anyway, I think I already accidentally made this sound in Albino in the first dubstep I've ever made...idk HOW, but I DID....all I did was screw around with everything not knowing what I was doing and came out with a slightly detuned bass that had depth to it...not as much depth but effects are always good and it still sounds like with a little tweaking it will sound amazing....once I get it processed I'll post the result up with a preset for Albino....

BTW Does anybody know how to make a video tutorial for FL Studio? I want to record the sound coming from the PC while also recording the voice from my mic so I can talk people through the process of making the Skrillex Scary Monsters Bass

Please don't, I know it feels like you've just made a killer sound when you first start messing around with synths but trust me nobody wants to have a patch of you just randomly turning dials the first time you've used it :\

I know what your talking about...its weird how it worked out, but it actually sounds pretty close...I'm not good with synthesis I know, but by chance, I made something good.

Heres a link to the skrillex bass I made...listen to it before you tell me that I'm just proud of the sound...its not my first time playing with synths, my knowledge of synthesis is just basic...well anyway here is the link: http://isrealgroup.5gigs.net/music/scar ... sexact.mp3

sylenth1, saw wave on osc 1 and sine on osc 2 ... filter set to lowpass and distortion on decimate. Automation on the cutoff and slide resonance all the way up... add pitch bend and put in the bass melody of scary monsters. Resample the whole pattern and bring it back in to add distortions, wave shapers, reverb, and a bass-fattening vst I found called Sumo VST. Then resample again and repeat the process but in a different way. Each time, listen to the original and add effects that sound like it will bring the sound closer. Resample again and do more...im gona do a video tutorial, I just don't know how to record both the microphone and the computer into the video

ok, so I figured out myself how to get the bass I'm looking for...did it in massive and alot of effects and processing...here it is: http://isrealgroup.5gigs.net/music/datsikbass.mp3

enif ur wondering why it spazzes out and doesnt follow the music right, its cuz I played this live with knobs, sliders, and the keyboard all at the same time.

Erm, 3xOsc just won't cut it man. :/
Seeing as the first thing you need is a reese bass, it WILL.

Albino's pretty easy imo. Just that the controlls are at the bottom. Look at some synth tutorials on it

I'll grant you this tidbit, sir, stop looking for specific sounds and start twisting knobs, find a sound you like and play with it.

You might learn a good bit getting walked though every single sound you create, but ultimately you're not going to create your own that way.

Practice, all the time, with everything.

Stop warezing new gear because the pros use it, you're not the pros, and you don't need the same gear as them, it's not insta prosounds gear, albino isn't "easy", anyone who works in a synth or DAW long enough may eventually get good at it, the point is, right now, this instant, you aren't very good, pro gear and warezing isn't going to fix that, only practice and tinkering will fix that.

Exactly this. Once you understand how your DAW and preffered soft/hard-synth work, you'll be able to make pretty much any sound ever!

Yeah, I know how FL works and partially how massive works...I'm not doin bad...I'm just trying to get better. I've been doing hiphop for 3 years, so the only new thing about dubstep is the basses

try using different software. trust me. if you learn one software you have learned how to do it but you may not know. get massive, albino, all that crap. if you can make anything on all of them, thats when you know your ready.

your skrillex synth is good man, just keep it up.

Guarantee its the patch Filthzilla made

is there an effect you add or can you send it back to the original synth

What patch? and basically what that means is that you add all the distortions and effects before you add the lfo and the movement.
