As much as you guys are gonna hate me for saying this, idntcurrr, but I freakin love datsik, he's the one who got me here. I love his style and almost all his tunes. His style has changed more from when I first got into him, but I still enjoy.

I don't like most of his tunes but I love Jenova Project and Swagga, plus I can enjoy Mechano, Gecko, King Kong, Boom and a few others, so I wouldn't flat out say he's good or bad. He's just decent imo

You do relise djs use serato because it costs a fortune to travel with vinyl, and vinyl in general costs a fortune these days, Plus most producers send out exclusives in mp3 form...ketamine wrote:Have Fun with your $50 Serato Dj

No, most DJ's use serato because they can't spin vinyl. As much as I openly support dubplate cutting and vinyl culture, it is uneconomical for djs to get all their tunes cut to dub. Unless you're Pinch or Youngsta (ie: seeing regular sets and have an ethos of dub cutting).And if most producers are only getting 'exclusive mp3s', they clearly aren't exclusive enough.

I use Traktor. I know why Dj’s have gone digital. I was just angry that night, mainly about the price. And some DJ’s including Datsik are good with it, others I’ve seen just stare at the screen the entire night zoned out like their checking email. That’s not worth $50. I have the same tunes on MY laptop too.
