First of all be humble. Don't try to get fans so everyone will think you're cool, that'll get you nowhere and actually make people NOT want to be your fan.

"You can tell I'm pretty good" Well from that song you posted I can tell that you're mediocre at best. Not bad for a 14 year old I guess, but you got a long way to go before you (or anyone) can call your music "good".

Also you "want to make lotsa money"? If you make music for money it will always, without a doubt, sound like shit.
Make music for the sake of making music. Real music has passion, soul, emotion. These are all things you need to work on if you want to make it anywhere.

Sadly this is the mentality of a lot of newcomers to the music production (especially dubstep) bandwagon. "I want people to hear my music I made in a day and think I am so cool so I can get all the girls and make lotsa money" It's never going to happen if that's how you think, and that's what you're in it for.

TBF, this is exactly why I started DJing and by & large it's worked out that way 8)

Well TBF I don't think I've ever heard of super producer wub or bought any of his tracks or seen him headline any shows, etc, etc, etc.

Anyone can be a dj and make a few dollars playing at bars and get a groupie or 2. Wouldn't exactly call that being successful though.

Your success will be fairly limited if that's your main goal.......would be the point I'm trying to get across to the youngin'

FWIW

wub is a damn fine producer/dj and overall great guy! No need to come off like such a tnuc...

Success is such an opinion based word.
What his view of success, could be different than yours.
I'm sure a father of 12 wouldn't be thinking about becoming "THE NEXT BIG DUBSTEP SUPPAAASTAAA :6: ."
I'm sure his success would be raising his children and providing them with a good home and a roof over their head.

Cheers :3:

Exactly my point - everyone defines success differently 8)

lol Don't know what a tnuc is but don't call me that, buddy. You don't know me.

Did I ever say he was not a damn fine producer or whatever you said? No. I was making a point which you completely missed.
I'm sure a father of 12 wouldn't be thinking about becoming "THE NEXT BIG DUBSTEP SUPPAAASTAAA :6: ."
I wouldn't be so sure. Everyone and their mom and grandma is into dubstep these days. I'm sure that guy exists somewhere lol

And yes everyone defines success differently. Not arguing that. Was referring to the 14 year old who wants to be the next skrilley....

Forget it. You lost the plot. Go for it kid, make music solely for lotsa money and fans. You'll get there in no time

I think we've gone off on a tangent here somewhat - less bad vibes, more focus on the OP.

Bottom line - look for success and you'll never find it. Focus on the skills needed to improve what it is you're doing, and when success finds you, you'll have the skills to back it up.

Your music sounds cool. I am 15 (nearly 16) and in one year i got these figures from various social networks

facebook :207
soundcloud: 1486

If you want to get fans quick then you should probably have a go a remixing a popular song. I remixed katy perry - e.t. because it's a popular tune and because I like the song. But my most popular song is a remix of get up by korn and as far as i'm aware that's not a very big song do don't just remix a big song an expect people to be all over your remix.

just keep releasing and spamming the hell out of every person that uses facebook, upload on youtube and soundcloud - comment and follow other people, they always check out how good the people are that have decided to follow them. that's how everyone else does it.

Write one of those facebook spam-bot virus things and watch your tune spread across the Internet...better yet, advertise it as free porn (Rick Roll anybody?)

Followers dont mean anything.

Plays, Releases and Regular Gigs mean way more then a social networking statistic, atleast to me. So instead of trying to "get a following" just keep your eyes on the real prizes in production and never stop making music for yourself.

Make credible music your actually feeling, rather than just whatever sound will get your dick sucked, although at 14 I'd assume that isn't a priority. Iv been making music for 3 years which is nothing really, and I'm still shit, so you've a long way to go sunshine
