Im more into the metalcore side of things, like LoG, All that Remains, etc. but i can occasionally get into some cannibal corpse or dimmu borgir.Nevalo wrote:yea well i came from a death/black metal background... Yeeeeeeah, but did he know who the owner of Hyperdub is without googling it?howzer wrote:If someone takes the time to join this forum because they like dubstep and want to work with other people, you shouldn't ATTACK them for liking the wrong kind.
Just wondering, what's wrong with LoG? Its just interesting to hear a different perspective.Drstrangelove wrote:i love metal and i think lamb of god suck...... each to their own though.Reverb wrote:You probably have be into that kind of music. I used to rinse this before i even cared for dubstep. I never really saw it as such, but if that is the general consensus, then this is probably one of the first dubstep tunes i ever heard. But i really wouldn't call it that, cybergrind, breakcore was what i would have pigeonholed it into if i had to. But still pretty buzzed to see it mentioned on this forum in 2012, pure nostalgia.Pistonsbeneath wrote:

Nah. Bands like Bring Me The Horizon and Asking Alexandria aren't metalcore, just scene/shit/lamecore. Caliban is decent metalcore with melodic parts, i.e.Drstrangelove wrote:metalcore is to metal what brostep is to dubstep....
i don't like caliban either :/Hircine wrote:Nah. Bands like Bring Me The Horizon and Asking Alexandria aren't metalcore, just scene/shit/lamecore. Caliban is decent metalcore with melodic parts, i.e.Drstrangelove wrote:metalcore is to metal what brostep is to dubstep....
Whitechapel is decent deathcore man, and I wouldn't call xTyrantx fucking girlsDrstrangelove wrote:i don't like caliban either :/Hircine wrote:Nah. fast intro riff, DOUBEL BASE DRMNIN!!!! then screaming vox for verse melodic chorus, wash rinse and repeat followed by a super screamy bridge riff and wait for it BREEEEAK DOWWWWN *chugs E string a couple of times and chucks in a pinch harmonic/discordant double stop*. 3rd verse chorus and intro reprise.
thats there is the structure for about 90% of metalcore songs, the other 10 percent swap the screaming/singing round for verse and chorus.
not to mention all the riffs are just poor at the gates rip offs, non of the vocalists can sing OR scream and they all dress like a bunch of fucking girls.
and dont get me started on deathcore thats even worse
