im guessing on a shit load of garage, grime and classic house as it'll be too hard to clear most of the rnb and hip-hop he normally throws in

I hate the host on that boiler room b2b2b, really ruined it. So loud and just talking utter shit. I'm sure at one point Jackmaster throws him out the way as he tries to pull up ANOTHER tune.

Think thats the only time they've gone b2b2b? They should definitely do it more often!

Might have to take a trip down to fabric for the launch party, been wanting to go to fabric for about 4 years now.

Hmmm, considering I'm just now getting back into mixes here lately, I've never really looked into this guy, but after seeing Moultz rim him almost as hard as I rim Silkie and Heny G, I think it's time I do my homework on this guy. Does he have any releases or is he strictly a DJ? (That wasn't meant to be an insult Moultz)

Also, does anyone know of any good Mixes I should check into? Preferably without a lot of chat over it.

Oneman is One hundred percent DJ, no producing whatsoever. This in itself makes him different from all the others cos he doesnt have a load of his own dubplates to test out, just some dubs from others but more importantly hes got time to pretty much play anything he wants, which is something that only few DJ's today do. Oneman is the only DJ I've seen who mixed Digital Mystikz into Boddika into Justin Timberlake into Prince. Flawlessly. Enough said.

This is a favourite of mine: Soundcloud
but yeah it does have MC Asbo over it, who many people find quite annoying

http://www.mixcloud.com/ONEMAN/triple-j-australia-mix-10022012/
a mix with no MC, but only 20 minutes

If you see him live it will be off the hook as well, his unpredictable mixing on a huge system is always a winning formula.. me and my mate found about about him by randomly bumping into a live set of his without any idea as to who he is, seriously one of the best sets I ever heard

lol yeah, Oneman is sick

I started learning how to DJ by copying Oneman mixes. All things considered, I would say he's my favourite DJ.

This is one of my favourite mixes of his:
Soundcloud

I would say though, as much as I do enjoy sitting at home listening to his mixes, I feel he's really one that is best suited to the dance.

He doesn't produce but owns 502 Recordings.
He DJs on rinse (just missed his latest, Sunday 11-1)
Seeing him live is completely different to hearing his radio shows.
Plays anything from grime, dubstep, garage, house, techno, hip hop and any other classics he may want to throw in.
Hes pretty well known for playing Kelis - Millionaire a lot live.

As said he plays very different sets for different occasions so I highly recommend listening to recorded mixes (Rinse 11 CD), one of his radio podcasts, a live recording (boiler room sets or just clips on youtube really) and also i'd check out the set he done for Hatchas wedding as well while you're at it.

Think this clip really sums him up:

Within a 12 minute video he gets in The Weeknd, New Order, Donna Summer, Burial & Kelis.

Thats what I dont get lol, how does One even think along the lines of "right I'm playing a Donna Summer tune... oh I know, lets mix in some Burial!" he must have some warped mind lol, not to mention an insane music library

His brain is like the best shuffle feature on the best library of music. I love the fact he dares to pull out these tunes.. at something like a DMZ birthday! Most DJs would stick to the dubstep DMZ are well known for.. not Oneman, he's whacking out 80s.

Good to see Oneman getting so much love on this thread because he deserves it. For me my favourite DJ is UFO but that's only because he happens to draw more for the deeper end of the spectrum more so than Jack and Oney but that's just a personal preference. They both come very close. For those interested in finding more good DJs, Braiden is definitely someone to check out. Unlike the other 3 he does produce but he's still amazing on the decks, so gutted they haven't made up a new slot for him on Rinse with the new timetable. As far as the tracklist goes Factmag revealed Joy O - Ellipsis will make an appearence which is now sold out on The Trilogy Tapes website (vinyl only).

haha you cheeky bastard!

I don't 'rim' anyone! I just have my favourites and Oneman is one of them if not my favourite DJ. Hands down the best DJ to create a straight up party atmosphere through all round bass music. Selection is always on point and will pull together a set that could not be replicated by your average DJ. Then the day after he'd throw together something just as special if not even better.

Only just seen that footage from DMZ 7th! Wow... Objekt into Blue Monday :h: :h: :h:

His music library must be something else. I'd love to sit down and go thru that library and find some many gems :U:
