Not sure how many times this topic has been posted. It all depends on the notes you play, anything lower than your lowest key is a decent place to cut
And you know, about the 2 notes, I am not sure myself, I've wondered this the past month and it doesn't seem to make a difference, plus your kick needs room to breathe as well

Ive messed around with sines tris squares and saws but imo a single sine packs more punch. I usually go for a kick that stills sounds beefy highpassed at 50-60hz as im not a fan of sidechaining subs.

i think its important to not cut too much low end out of your kick... playing it too safe can be unproductive in my experience

well, under 100 hz mostly^^

depends on the track,.. hicut at 90-100hz and lowcut at 20-30hz since noone needs the very very lowend^^ (makes things muddy).

also i like a bit saturation^^

You don't really want to use more then one. Or you could try using a sine wave (or even a low passed square) an octave above and stuff for artistic purposes, but the most powerful sub is just a sine.

Just cut off anything that's not audible on your average system/headphones.

No matter what notes you play, no one gives an ass if they can't hear it.
Mp3 conversion will cut those freqs anyway.
