Just listening to that now, coincidentally. It's about thirty-five minutes into Distance's show from 3rd April. Appears to be by Pinch, tune called "Punisher".

I just hope all the nu d'n'b converts don't just get into the half steppas at the expense of the fullsteppas such that it all becomes bland digidub and the step of garage becomes a whole nother genre separate form dubSTEP...

...darqwan, MRK1, S&D, SLT mob, vexd, even toasty and boxcutter etc have shown that you can have big bad nasty as stormers that don't have to be crankin along at 170bpm yet still have a conscious element

then again people like blackdown could argue that that's breakstep not dubstep...

...it's funny but me and El Sid went over this hammer and tong quite a while back on BBWW, was fun too

but the worst aspects of what happened to jungle then d'n'b I think, can only happen if the format and spread of the virus is contained within a localised setting centred around a few producers and limited to exclusive vinyl also if the mainstream (read big labels) starts chucking money at it to perpetuate the cycle and the music itself loses it's soul...

...one thing I am grateful for is the boring UK vs US thing that dn'b had going on for ages on DOA

now lets all join hands and sing...

WE ARE THE WORLD, WE ARE THE CHILDREN
WE ARE THE ONES WHO'LL MAKE A BRIGHTER DAY
SO LETS START GIVING
THERES A CHOICE WE'RE MAKING
WE'RE SAVING OUR OWN LIVES
IT'S TRUE WE'LL MAKE A BETTER DAY
JUST YOU AND ME

...the thing to watch out for is when the true breaksteppas start making dubstep of which quest and baobinga already have with exceptional results cos they operate around the same bpm and know how to step it up and smash a dancefloor to bits

then again that's looking at it from a producers point of view from lil ol isolated and ignorant NZ

IMHO :)
