The Axyz controller looks baaaad. And the black/orange colour scheme is imo just wicked. Very important, that colour scheme.

on last thing, how much would you say a midi keyboard helps/improves your production quality and time efficieny. up untill now ive just been using the owld moose. surley a midi key must add a whole new dimension to production.
i dunno if it 'improves' your productions, but the idea of writing music without a keyboard is kinda nasty. you need it!
efficiency-wise, though, the axiom is ace.

Bought my novation sl25 compact last week for $480 AU...
Easy to set up, improved my workflow heaps (going from keyboard and mouse) and has made making beats much more fun

got a 25 yesterday. i'm actually kind of liking the infinite faders cos you can set them up to give out relative data which is good for ableton ( no more parameter jumps when you edit something with the mouse .)
still haven't figured out how to assign stuff. no paper manual
bargain

I have the 61key. Its annnoying to program out of the box. Don't really like the pads. they are cheap and nasty. Its a good unit for the price.. Next step up would be a weighted controller
