They call it Post-Dubstep, because UKG or 2-step's too mainstream a name for it.

i've never understood the hate for the term post dubstep tbh.. it's clearly not dubstep but then again it's strongly associated with the sound / scene and stems from it so post-dubstep kinda fits. it's certainly better than some vague "bass music". idk why ppl get so revved up about genres anyway i think they're useful for describing music

the other one they did with flylo and shlohmo was better anyway imo, "Dont call it #Beats"
Just watched that one, flylo saying about finding music on myspace via "that guys top friends" took me back
Used to trawl through myspace for hours and hours!

this is a bit off topic, but does anone remember/ know about the days when dubsep had several names, includig
-Raggage (sounds like a disease)
-FWD beats (FWD was a night, not a sound)
-Sublo (total innuendo IMO)
-8 bar
-"we dont care whats its called were just gonna call it grime" - rephlex album
etc etc. Anyway my point is that people will just eventaully get used to the name of the genre and grow to love it, and it if pisses them off too much they will just leave the genre.
Anyone else agree with me?
PS, bring on the because I've probably got it totally wrong
