got there at quarter to 10 and still didn't get it in. can't complain that much i suppose because i should have been organised and phoned to get guestlist before saturday by which time it was full. would have been nice if the bouncers had told us a bit earlier that we weren't going to get in

Absolute killer, best thing of 2008 so far...
Goth-trad, Youngsta and N-type smashed it out solidly as always

a mate of mine called a friend at like 9, she was like the thing is totally sold out.. i was a bit gutted as i was traveling up there on a whim.. with a car full of mates.. one thing though.. bit surprised that possibly one of the biggest nights. this year so far.. has only got 2 pages of responses.. seriously what did you guys think????
little constructive feedback or appreciation in a sober state goes a long way hehe.

I'm pretty gutted by the experience, like badger I turned up well early to ensure getting in, we were within the first 40 odd people waitin in non-ticket queue for about 9.30. Doors were meant to be at 10 but it didn't even seem like they were letting anyone in til half past, quarter to 11 even. And then it was only ticket holders, as in physical tickets, i felt well sorry for those who had booked tickets and were still gettin mugged off.
By gone 11 we were gettin well antsy, it was fuckin freezin outside and the queue had not moved at all, gettin pretty annoyed with the arrogant security guy who was straight power tripping from the moment he arrived. out to all the sycophants laughin at his hilarious little jokes.
Final straw was when he started goin beserk at someone for steppin on the grass. yeah nice. He was abusive to anyone who even politely asked him a question. my girlfriend asked him after we'd been waiting for over an hour and a half if it was likely that we would get in, he responded by saying 'you're not getting in, i see your face, you're not getting in'. What a fucking joke, is that how you talk to your customers?
Basically i first attended this night summer 2006 and it was half the price, half the people and half the attitude. I dunno what's happened between then and now but it is not the vibe i remember or the vibe i associate with dmz. The difference between the organisation of last night and every event I've been to at mass is astounding; down there you turn up on time to get let in on time, no fuckin tickets, no messing about.
I'm not questioning that its been a sick night out in the past and a couple of my mates who hung around to get in (after fucking midnight as it happens, been queuing for 2 & 1/2 hrs) made the best of it and had a gudun but the whole thing was soured by shit organisation and a fucking terrible attitude from the door staff.
End rant.

Quality music matched only by the atmosphere inside the W.I
Yunx was too much.
Should lock off the dnb in the small room and just play roots reggae, 80's dancehall, and uk steppers.
Think if that happend it would free up some more space.
Cant blame anyone about the ques, unless you had tickets saved on the door and didnt get in.
Iration system sounded clear and deep, not as loud as normal tho.
Looking fwd to the next one but more so to the Exodus & Room 237 in may the last one

it wasnt organised shit - iration didnt get there till late due to traffic and that held things up still only by about 25 mins which isnt that bad - yeah it was cold so it made things worse.
surely if You had just got Organised and bought a ticket then things could have gone better for you.
yeah that guy on the door is a prik, ill second that. its just one guy tho not the entire door staff.

From what people have said buyin tickets wasn't a guarantee to any better treatment, i would definately call that an oversight in organisation. I just don't get it tho- if you know the capacity of the venue, and how many tickets you've sold then you should know how many people you can let in on the door. It just seemed like a piss take to keep people waiting hours past the advertised opening time. It's not been like that before. I could have stuck around another hour to get in but I'm not up for that, i genuinely dont think its worth it £15 for 3 hours nah mate.

We came down from Glasgow, luckily had a friend in Leeds buy tickets so we had them in hand and got let in pretty quick but it was fairly badly organised system. Anyhoo top night, Gothtrad was awesome, pity Pinch was on earlyish, missed most of his set. Anyone know the running order?
First time Ive heard that soundsystem
Looks like I will be returning.

PS Big up to Deadman and Marksman who hosted Youngsta's set. First time in the main room at Exodus and they did a great job.
