well my initial point is that obviously theres going to be tension and negativity but ultimately it only damages us all and, yes, its interesting, but it can be interesting while negotiating through it without lashing out at your mates in a harsh way.
... i think that was my point anyway. i'll have to get back to you on that later

Or alternatively let's not throw around the word hater when people bring up a point that doesn't sit comfortably, as a way of flatly rebuking their comment without taking it into consideration.
