I'm on an Intel IMac since September 2006 and had not a single crash since then while making music. All Mac vs. PC debate aside- this stable enviroment is all I was looking for. It works for me with Mac.

PC here, very stable, very fast, very cheap, very happy. Never touched MAC and never will.

The day that Windows replaces Mac in 99% of the pro music and video studios out there, I'll be right there blue screening with you.

mac users are generally not paying $400 / mo for child support
I'd have to take out a loan to buy a MAC and I dont roll like that
I'd love to have one, but until the record labels buck up and buy me one
I'll blue screen it!
*my comp never blue screens, I just added that
HONESTLY...
people with macs can make good tunes, people with PC's can make good tunes
this arguement is as tired as a hooker at a dick meeting
fuck off and make music, not lame ass posts like this

my 2 cents
mac is a status symbol not a computer for pro....
pro user mod his computer, mac os x is a closed os, it can't be modded like I wish
I've worked for 3 years in a national research centre of my country (CNR) and I've seen only pro-computer-users, and the majority of them work with unix / windows / linux not with mac...
pro graphics is made with SGI workstation (silicon graphics) not Mac computers, and this platform has its own OS not windows/linux nor mac
pro video, until 2007 (release date of avid for mac), has been made always with win2k and avid nitris / DNA...
is only since few years that final cut has been adopted by hollywood directors like lynch etc...
and now I'm going to make muzic
peace...

one week i wake up and crave a mac
the next week i remember my PC does everything that the mac will do just as well (if not better)
the next week i want a mac again
and so on
i think its just cos they look nice and shiny (yes i am that shallow).
they are good, no doubt.
but then so are pc's.
its one of them innit. if you'v got 2 grand to spunk why not get a super fuckin ninja pc, thats what i say

Well here is my 2 cents.
I have both, the main studio runs a PC, very powerfull, and yes its been modded 2 the nuts.
I also have a new macbook pro.
I would say this, osx kills all other OS! Yes you cant mod it like you can a pc, but that only ends up leading to a unstable system.
The file system on a mac makes sense, you dont get lazy and store files anywhere.
OSX is the creative persons choice for a reason, its industry standard in all Creative industries!

i spend anywhere from 4 -12 hours a day on a computer...
aescthics and an operating system that is sensible are important to me.
and frankly after using pc's years ago, sitting down now and staring at windows is a rather painful exercise.
