LOL this definately. big up the roof incence

also corpsey's first point reminded me of this:

http://entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/ ... 393148.ece

not wanting to start male vs female debate (long and overdone) but is interesting (entertaining) perception of the appeal of music to men and women and who relates to it better- tounge in cheek

Nice article! Maximum respect to the ladies producing , dj'ing, writing about and promoting dubstep.

It's total BS that men are more disposed to producing, tweaking nobs, working mixers and turntables and spending hours working with technical gear than women.

The first high level computer language was created by a woman.

So true - i share a house with one of the producers mentioned in the article and her production, technique and sound crafting puts mine to shame... i stand to learn alot

If I had a dime for every time my husband told me, "stop it, it sounds fine, you're overproducing, etc", I'd... be $2.50 deeper towards our Roland JP-8000 fund. :6:

There were actually substantial interviews with everyone mentioned in that piece which I'd assume were cut at the eleventh hour. Good read anyway though - we've come a long way from the days of bad dubstep reporting.

big up the sistas making tings happen!

and anyone who thinks guys are geekier than girls when it comes to producing, obviously hasn't seen me, eyes red from staring at the computer monitor, ashtray full of butts and roaches, spending hours editing tunes and eqing the kick so it doesn't clash with the bass. ;)
