I'm quite good I would say... Second one. I can create some crazy sounds, and ALWAYS start from scratch. Except for this one time which unfortunately happens to be one of my best songs
But yeah...
I was actually worrying last night, I was using a blue preset (tweaked) and realised it kinda sounded like br00tal 3l3ctr0, and I don't want no foo's tinking I be using that mofo'in patch, you dig?

More and more lately I find I'm getting really good at getting whatever I want. Some more of the really lush pads I'm not quite there yet with but I'm pretty well rounded. It's all the post processing now to make it all sound in your face and shit that I need to do more.

Easily done....

The same sounds can be achieved in Reason very easily.

Any esetoric waveform pushed through the correct combination of distortion effects sounds like Br***l E***tro... :o

since every synth is different i think it's really about learning the basics and then finding out what exactly is different and utilizing it

I’m good with filters envelopes routing etc, however my knowledge of which forms to use to get required sounds is awful so I tend to tweak presets out of lazyness, I am however getting a lot better

I struggle with sound design

I know the bassics, but I am humbled by people that can program GOOD sounding basslines

I have been taking tutorials on the access virus and I am still clueless

this is the area I want to improve on in my music

Still do dig though, you get stuff you weren't even thinking of - kind of like having a co-producer separated by time and space whom you've never met :)
intersting way of looking at it

cheers
