I love the tunes. I know about musical content because I've been playing music my entire life.

When something sounds like a preview from redeyerecords or the rinse fm stream, I'm not going to be happy.

Well that's just it - HE hits the frequencies, and then the label uses MP3's to master the album with and all the frequencies HE hit get weakened and taken out... Bit unfortunate really...

Lovin the album though, content wise... Really really good stuff indeed.

The last ooooh I dunno 20 or so tunes I bought on vinyl all sounded shit. Poor pressings, poor mastering, no top end.


Like ive said many times before if you can afford to cut dubs fair play to you but im sticking with CD's

I think the album is bliss, Great sounding Tracks and unless you have supersonic hearing I don't think the MP3 thing would bother you to much.

Don't get it twisted kulture - when I say quality is not an issue here it applies to this Album as it sounds great and stands up to other tunes that have been mastered from wavs (Executive Steve!) and also people can make great tunes with that Lo-Fi sound. Before it was pointed out no-one would know any better therefore I find that trying to make an issue of this is a bit anal.
When I make tunes OF COURSE quality is an issue lol (please don't dissect this to make me sound like an idiot lool)

Music is music. It Doesn't sound like a Rinse FM stream or preview from Redeye Records so why feel upset with anyone involved in this great album.

The original post was an observation but then people try and jump pon bandwagon and post negative comments when really and truly, it is what it is (which is a great album)

what possible reason is there to not just get a .wav with more information in it and use that?

you'd surely wanna start with the closest possible file to what you've made in the studio, not something that's been through an MP3 encoder before it even gets to the mastering engineer?

not that I'm saying that's what's gone on here, but just "why would you?"

The Album is called My Sound which means it's....his sound - not like anyone elses sound. People like it, and some people may not. the former is what matters and it just so happens that alot of people are feeling it. I'm sure - In fact I KNOW that he is gonna come wid sum stuff that u r gonna want to get your hands on in the very near future.

imo, the album has no tunes anywhere near as good as his earlier stuff. shockwave ep etc. think he's gone way off the mark recently. thought the hatcha collab lp was dull as well.

system log is the reason I got the album.....
