made this with a mate over the past couple weeks on and off
2nd drop bline midrange needs work as does drum filtering.... a lot of channels but nearly there. Compression seems to have given the bounce a filthy ringing type sound :/
Let me know what yout think, bear in mind this is my first tune I think is worthy of listenin too
ill offer feedback to whoever can tell me where to go with this track and some others when i get home tonight

Hey Guys.
Good forum. I was wondering if somebody could give me a couple of tips. There is a couple of things, mainly about Mastering. (I know a lot of this has probably been discussed before but I can't find exactly what im looking for, sorry!)
Firstly, 'Limiters'. Can you have a 'limiter' and a 'Maximiser' on the master? I currently produce in Fl Studio 8, and usually have a Limiter on the master (but reduce the Gain to 0db so both the Gain and Ceiling are set to 0db) and then have a Maximiser.
Second question, compression. Is compression essential on the Master if you use the above? If so is it better to have a multi band or a single compressor?
Last question:)... I was at the studio a couple of months ago and the producer said that particular track that I was adding vocals to had 'No Stereo'. I always use a stereo enhancer on the master, is that what he meant?
Thank you guys, really appreciate the help:)

The general rule for this thread is to review 3 other folks tracks (be constructive, that's the point - so folks can learn) before posting your own track for feedback. This is the only way this thread will actually work and make it helpful.
Please feel free to quote and repost this every few pages as a reminder to our newer members.
Just thought I'd bring this back cause lots of people don't seem to get this concept... ^

i like the flanger ( i think its a flanger?) on the drums at the start, but it could possibly do with not being quite as wide, made me feel kind of drunk haha
also you might try learning a few minor scales, the bassline in your tune had quite a happy feel to it, compared to most dubstep which has that darker vibe..
of course you could just be going for that happier kind of feel!

This is a track that i have been working on for the last week or so. It was originally an electro track that i was making, but i sliced and diced it into something totally new, and this is what has resulted so far. Its probably more breakbeat than anything at this point.
KiernBoii, So far sounds good. You got the snare and kick placement down pat in this. only thing id do is beef up that bass. Maybe add some sub bass to back that up. was this a FL Studio production?
