I was on a road trip the other week and during conversation it became apparent that my best friend and I have dates with the same girl coming up.
Thought for a while that it would be alright though, my initial reaction was to call it off, to which he responded with "nah man, it's straight, mine isn't technically a real date anyway, more just a hangout", thing is that I'd sooner want to go on the one he'd planned than the one I did tbh, she doesn't seem to mind that much though. But what bugs me the most is that I was thinking about the conversation we had before I asked her, and I'm not sure I have a real date either. Don't want to be so bait as to ask directly either, looks sloppy if she thought it was. But I literally told her that I didn't love her and wanted to see her.
Guess I won't know until there's a hand parting our lips.

He asked her first? Great minds think alike?
What kind of answer are you looking for?

Necessarily though? I really think the three of us are level headed enough to survive this.

Yeah, if you're going out with a gyal, and dont even know if its a "date" and you've already told her you don't love her.. You are in Fedoraland imo

Nothing exactly missing. I dunno, hard to read I guess. I'm guessing she's either glad I'm not handling things like a bitch, or this just isn't a date.
She used the term initially, I didn't approve of it, so I said what I said and asked her out.

If a gyal told me she loved me in a serious manner before we even have a proper relationship, I would honestly run as fast as possible in the opposite direction. Thats a huge red flag imo, thats like actual crazy person vibes.

Had a similar situation where a girl thought I was saying "I love You" and proceeded to try and talk me down from there.
Just had to re-iterate that I only said I was interested and we were calm.
