fucking airlines this year... I booked about a week after dates that far in advance became available, and they were just shy of £400 obviously they've cottoned on! Pretty sure I only payed about £150 2011.

Get the cannons ready as with little under five months to go before systems are warmed up, lights switched on and the gates are opened, Outlook presents some amazing new additions to the lineup. The good news is that tickets have been selling like crazy and it looks like Outlook will soon reach capacity! Hold tight! For those still interested in attending the best party in Europe, team Outlook are advising the kids to buy their entry before the end of May as tickets are in short supply! Don’t say we didn’t warn you!

This year Outlook has gone even further to bring you some of the best in Dub, Reggae and Soundsystem culture. Added to the amazing artists in the Jamaican genre is a man whose name and image are deeply linked with the sound. With a career in music that dates back to the 50s, Lee Scratch Perry has had a massive impact on Jamaican culture and beyond. Perry has been the production powerhouse behind some massive names including Bob Marley & The Wailers. During the late 60s his experiments with studio equipment made Perry one of the founding fathers of Dub. Now residing in Switzerland, this influencer sets course for the coast of Croatia for Outlook 2012.

Supporting the Dub-father is an artist whose iconic voice has been sampled by The Prodigy and Jay-Z. With a career longer than the queue for the cash-machine on the Outlook campsite, Max Romeo has lived all over the globe and made a huge name for himself collaborating with Lee Scratch Perry, Rolling Stones and Jah Shaka to name but a few.

Another wizard in the studio joining the bill at Outlook is a British record producer who has been flying the Jamaican colours since the 1970s. Prince Fatty has not only worked with Reggae legends like Gregory Isaacs but has also dipped into Hip Hop working with The Pharcyde and The Sugarhill Gang. Now working with British talent Hollie Cook, Prince Fatty takes time from the studio and makes his way to the stage.

Shooting forward to the 21st century, Outlook welcomes back two regular features to our Croatian systems. Having pushed the boundaries between Grime and dubstep, Plastician returns to top the madness! Also providing the weight of South London to the Adriatic, Chefal returns for another stint on the fort.

The east end of London has always been a hub for the creative and talented. This artist is no exception to the rule and has certainly managed to impress a few people with his latest release “Feel The Love”. Rudimental has managed to build a solid name for himself over the past couple of years and is set to be massive. If ever there was a debut performance from an artist you should see at Outlook this year it’s sure to be Rudimental.

Ensuring the presence of the grime factor, Outlook welcomes Trim to the fort for the first time. Originally a member of east London crew Roll Deep, Trim has made his name ring out across the Grime circuit recently as a solo artist. Trim has backed up his impressive string of mixtapes with recent appearances on productions from James Blake and Becoming Real with his unique flow.

Outlook also welcomes Lil Silva, who is fast becoming one of the most talked about artists on the UK Bass scene. Silva possess the musical understanding to work with genres such as American House, Funky and Grime but his ability also allows him to merge and blend styles.

Outlook festival is blooming fast and we wouldn’t want you to bloomin’ miss out.

Only just come across this festival and unfortunately my festival funds have all but dried up this year

...but jesus this looks amazing.

This year they should setup a separate shop/stall onsite selling purely alcohol only. This would cut the queuing times and the general amount of people using the tiny shop. I'm not talking about the bars who sell pints etc, we need an actual supermarket style shop selling bottles & spirits as about 70% of the people going into that shop wanted drink.

I've sent this idea to the Outlook peeps, hopefully it might happen!

Bought my ticket, now I just need some friends to get theirs. Hoping to drive it and stop off in the dam.

Finally got tkts for me and my mates! Can't wait, although they need to get Rodigan on the line up somehow.

Anyway did anyone drive from Venice to Pula for either of the last 2 years? That's what we're doing and I was wondering how hard a journey it is basically. Also what happens at the borders? Do you just show you passport and they let you thru as long as you dont look too shady.. Do you have to pay anything??

They have the Mystikz and they have Loefah, but as far as I know their not tagging. They didn't last year.

Also, they've already said that they can't get Rodigan; he's unavailable on those dates. They posted about it a while back on their FB page.

Not only camping but also getting a coach - will report back on how that goes

Probably been asked a million times but how in depth are the stoppages at the various borders that you go through? Are we talking body searches and sniffer dogs etc?

I doubt I'll end up taking anything - it ain't worth ruining it all before you've even started, but it would be interesting to hear about regardless.

The coach is grueling but it's worth it in the end. I wouldn't risk taking anything, my coach got through fine but others got stopped and searched with sniffer dogs. Not really worth getting and international drugs smuggling charge for the sake of a c ouple of Gs.

Question to anyone who hired an apartment through outlook:

Do they monitor how many people are staying in the apartment very closely? We have a couple of mates who want to crash on the floor

they checked people coming in to see if they had actually had a key for a room last time, because everyone on the site would just come in and use the toilets.. which eventually ran out of water.

Visited Croatia last summer (not outlook related). The policemen had their plastic gloves on and we had our pants down...(Fortunately, that is as far as it got:))

Also selling my ticket off kind of stupid to have bought a ticket all those months ago and not sorted anything else but what can you do.
Anyone on DSF that wants it can have it for £125 plus the £10 for name change so £135 all in. PM if your interested.
