Alright, I am aware that this is more Drum and Bass, but has some Dubstep elements in it, so i'd still like to ask you guys for some feedback! D: Id really appreciate it!
I am also willing to give Feedback in return! :]

Try hitting up some people with feedback first mate before upping tunes, makes this thread work a whole lot better.
As for your track the beats need a lot of work and the track seems very muddy. Out of intrest what dubstep elements are you talking about I can't seem to spot any ?

definitely needs more variation in the drums, that's the first thing I'd work on. Outside of that I still feel like its missing things, or at least just variation, you had that wobble for a second! Keep at it

I'm a big flying lotus fan so I like it when people aim for off-centric rhythms, but I think yours is a little too off; when making a rhythm make sure you can consistently bob your head throughout the entirety of the song or just stick with the metronome. Also the filter or whatever you threw on that made it sound more muffled in the second part I'd take out.

Oh thanks for the advice, i will keep that in mind =p
i was actually happy with the beat the way it is tho, any tips for improvement? i know its muddy.. but im not sure where that problem lies, in the samples/vsti's i use? or the way i mixed things up?
Yeah, i noticed that when i re-listened, and noticed that this wassn't the most recent recording of the song... in what i have now it has more dubstep elements like wobbles, and things that are seeming to show 2 different rythms running through eachother. Sorry for this mistake ._.''

Heres a short clip ive been working on, its very simple but any feedback would be greatly appreciated. The final mix was about -6db ish but im not sure whether i've boosted with limiter too much or too little. In hindsight may have overdone the reverb on the snare a touch too.

Cheers!

I really like your pad, very ambient. The reverb works just because there's the space to allow for it, so I wouldn't worry bout that.

I dunno if you've made your way into the mastering phase yet but I'd turn down the hi hats. I really liked the intro part but then you kind of lost me as it went along, I'm always touting "more variation!" on these boards but I'll say it again for you. Grooved out overall feel though just keep pluggin away

Aye now my turn. Inspired by the massiveness I've heard in the likes of Trolley Snatcha and 12th Planet and the like I wanted to be massive myself, so I started working on this. My gf said it makes her feel squished and hurts but says it like a bad thing, I dunno though so I need some input on it; I've only done the intro and up to the 2nd drop so let me know what you think cheers

The build up is sick, I love the old "space invaders" B movies, and that just built me just right. After mentioning Trolley and hearing the build/intro, I figured you'd have a pretty mean drop, but when it did... It wasn't too mean. Cool bassline, but not mean. The effects in the song are tight, but I still think it's lacking. For me personally, it just built me up, and left me kinda hanging and stayed at pretty much the same level. So I'd have to say work on the movement of the song, however, that's just my opinion.
Also, looking for feedback on this WIP, lately been hitting some roadblocks with it.

Liked it alot... I'm not crazy about the snare you used. In the verses it sounds fine, but during the intro/breaks with just the guitar I don't like the sound of it. Maybe some reverb or tail added to it during those parts would be nice. I liked the guitar riff you got going, it's real nice. And in the first verse when you have just the bass w/o the guitar for a bit is nice, I wouldn't mind seeing that more, and the guitar accenting it. Also the breakdown with the clashing chords is interesting, it seemed a tad sparse... but just a little something might be needed. The ending was cool, during the first verse I was waiting for some faster wobbles and the end gave them too me, with some nice distortion effect also. Good job, and keep at it.
If you've got some time you can listen to my track a post above yours.

I like the synth chords, nice tremelo on there
in my opinion the track could do with more going on, perhaps a pad behind the bassline?
the bass needs to come down in the mix, it does rather stick out like a sore thumb at the moment, and it sounds a bit over distorted to me, but thats personal opinion really. i would have some variation on the bass sound though, maybe introduce a second or third bass patch, something less distorted and maybe a bit more warpy to contrast what you've got already? or modulate the existing one as the track progresses, give it some movement and sense that the track is taking you somewhere, it starts to sound quite repetative after a while. also i would intruduce some more percussion when the bass drops, maybe a closed hat playing some odd 16ths? i also think the kick and snare need to brought out much more in the mix, again this would helped by turning down the main bass.
Also i think the main Drop itself could be accentuated. i would take out that hi-hat that plays in the last upbeat before the drop, so the first downbeat hits harder, more silence before the drop the better in my opinion, so it really contrasts when the bass hits. I would also use a riser of sort, even just a noise sweep or something to just build a bit more tension before it drops, because when the bass kicks in, it feels a little anti-climactic?
Right im gonna stop rambling now lol. on the whole i think it's a good start, but it needs more details and nuances to fill it out a bit, and some more variation, something to keep the listeners attention, try changing something every 8 bars, add a new element, modulate and existing one etc

I don't really know what you mean by off-centric and I've not listened to Flying Lotus, maybe I should, as for the filter that's the corpus tool, I've subbed the kick drum. I did that mainly because I wanted the emphasis on the bassline, more than anything.
