Oh, and while I love panning, I think you took it a little too far. Instead of hard panning, why don't you pan at... 45 per cent, and then work your way forward to 80? You both keep definition and prevent that vacuum on one side. And then, use a very slight delay (35 ms on one side, 36 on the other) to sort of widen the sound, than cut the panning and widening to fall into the drop. Might I add that such a drop seems like it'd be killer?
Cheers bro! I've never really looked at Renoise properly before!

Began with Reason and got familiar with Ableton then couldn't get back into Reason! Seriously though, StudioOne = so buggy! .. but it's still in its early years compared to its competition!

Thanks for the advice and direction with the track! Does Renoise support Rewire?

I like some of the ideas here. I'd like the kick to punch a bit. Sounds low passed? If you are going to do that I would set the pass real high. I like the space overall in the song but I feel like there is some room for some sub in some of the spaces. And then the mid that comes in like 2/3rds in. Maybe it's just me but I hear a lot of songs where I am really into them and then that wobble comes out of nowhere and I sigh. Not saying lose it but if I where remixing I'd drop it like a bad habit. Let me know if you update, I might need a 320.

Just stick with Ableton imo, that's the right program ;) It doesn't really do you any good to go from daw to daw. Stick with one and get good at it. I'd rather be really good with a crap program then know a little bit about every program.

This one I think you could not limit the main drums so much. They are REALLY flat, too flat. Fix that and it sounds good to go to me.

Man i really like your track , the crash stuff , the vocal samples , i think is all good ... but then you make this fast tempo shit in 1:30 and you lose all the vibe , you should think to delete this and try another aproach , you got some great parts there to make a better arrangement ,keep working in that song , you got something FRESH :D

Jakedubber : I Think your track lack something , you got all this sounds going on that don't really do any musical contribution
is saturated to my taste , not the sounds just the ideas . i hope you understand my point :)
i got to be honest , i don't like your track , maybe this wooble stuff is not your cup of tea , try something different
Peace

Yo guys, not been on for a while, been doing a lot of new material which will be posting about soon :D

We Bang i love your stuff and this track is no exception,i have to disagree with zuta though, my favourite part of the track is when you double time the drums into that housey beat, love the vibe and how it moves the track along

kikaruu liking your calypso remix, only crit is i reckon you need to make the drop a little bit more intense, the fill works but i think there might be too much stuff in the background with it still. soundin good tho

abz diggin your tune, love the stabby sound, reminds me of old house tracks

Heres a preview of my remix of Pendulum - The Island

I will return the favour later as i feel i give more feedback than i recieve.
Thanks in advance.

@ jak-a-tron: you're bass and drums work really well together rhythmically, and i like the sound you have for the bass. everything sounds nice together, my only complaint is a bit of a lack of variation. some more pauses, maybe cut the sub occasionally, add a melody, change the rhythm, just stuff like that. otherwise, very dark and some damn good listening.

@ Bledbox: not gonna lie, i was not expecting that drop to be so mellow, but it certainly is a unique version of the song. although i may have tried to make it dirtier, i like where you're going with it, keep it up, i'm excited to see the final. :)

@ jakedubber: if the generic wobbles weren't working for you, then i'd say continue this. it sounds really cool. a bit repetitive, but it's dark as hell and interesting. also, maybe some eq'ing to take out the fuzziness of some of your sounds.

Alright, so i made this in the past few days. I'm only about 3 months into producing so i'm sure there's a ton of stuff i can work on here, but in particular feedback on the bass, sub bass, and drums would be appreciated. cheers

Not much on the changes just a couple minor things. Now my turn to listen to yours!!!

Zuta - Interesting stuff there. Decent sample usage and def not your normal wobbs. I dig the crack in your snare very heavy.

BLedBox - Good luck with that competition. I did not expect the half step but solid remix I def feeling it man

jakatron- Solid drums another good person with a nice Crack on there snare. The wobbles are decent but they really fit the track. You SFX risers could be just a tad more beefy in volume to really get that transition going. maybe a bit more switch up

Johnst - Needs more beef. track is very quiet. There def some very music elements which is a huge bonus but the drums need to be harder!!!

@ We Bang: thanks for the feedback! i'm trying to keep my levels low for mixing but listening to it again it's very low. i appreciate the musical elements comment too, thanks again! in regards to your track, extremely solid. i love the stab synth, it's ridiculously cool, seems very old school to me. also, the 4/4 beat change up works perfectly. my one and only possible suggestion is that the transition has a little more, but tbh, i don't have the most experience, so fck it. GREAT work! i'm followin you on soundcloud now :e:

@webang that bass sound is so good and makes the song so nice but that intro lead/paddy whine thing is sounding weak and slighty cheap maybe make it thicker or change it over all

@jak a tron mixdown is good and the quality is nice but it sorta just drives on to me and i lost a bit of interest

-Tripwire : sounding nice on the pads & the percussion, unfortunately im on laptop speakers right now , so I don't hear the subs you got going , so sorry for the useless feedback

- Webang : immense track , right down what i love, but am i dumb or does your snare sound like a kick :O not digging that too much, i like it alot more with the breaks..

- Johnst : well your track's extremely low to start off, i don't hear any subs atm so this is gonna sound kinda useless, but for what i hear your tracks like near empty, i hear some drums right at the end, a very very tiny bassline that i can hardly hear... I'd just make the whole alot louder mate, for a starter, and fill it up!

- Bledbox : It's good , but I didn't really dig you drumstep remixed it, as it does not really give an extra to the original , and I've heard alot better remixes of the song , it's hard for me to judge this one... Imo you could've done more with it

Finally able to post one of my own tracks again, this one's going to the SKisM remix competition:

Some feedback would be lovely :)

@tripwire: could use some more parts i think. just seems a bit empty to be honest. everything you have going so far is pretty cool, it just seems like you need more going on in general. i really like the chords that are introduced around 1:30!

@webang: dope! he's right, the stab synth kills it. whole track is dope as shit though. getting kind've a dnb vibe actually! which is totally cool especially since it isn't what you'd typically call dnb. not much i can say to improve upon. don't really like the "im a monster" vocal clip though, but whatever! dont matter! haha good work man.

posted this earlier but heres a newer version. this bridge thing really doesn't seem to be doing what i want it to do :u: :u:

@jak-a-tron liking this one! spacey atmosphere sort of reminds me of intergalactic dub from coki and the bassline has a nice skream feel to it! good job man!

@we bang liking this! the chord break between basslines had a funkiness to the song and i also really like the synth bits that come in around 1:30. loving it!

@tripwire this is most certainly deep medi material. love the percussion and pads, sub work is spot on too.
