i want a vj that just brings those DVJs and all the David Lynch films on DVD
and yeah, subtrac, that video is awesome. and to all the others posted in this thread at all... but yeah... i remember reading a long time ago as i was discovering dubstep that H was the drug of choise because of all the low freqs... glad to know it's not the case. but this is more of a little art film/school project rather than visuals for a dj night, so whatever... it's fun when shit follows the beat of the track though.
my two cents.
safe

gotta say i would not encourage anything that might misconstrue intravenous drug use as cool or acceptable. I dont think dark i just think disgusting.

did anyone see Skins the last episode where theres dubstep in the big mansion?
i thought that worked really well, the kinda up party vibe but with a sense of dread going on - alot of dubstep has that feel, i love it, it reminds me of early raving when i used to shit myself going into dark dnb raves cause i was too young and on shite loads of speed (errrrghh)

i make videos, i don't necessarily make that much money from em..

you asked for comments - so some technical feedback for ya - the layering of the video is nice and however you created the outlines of buildings etc moving through the shot is a cool effect & whether you created it or nicked it you're using it well
similarly the way you're changing the color wit the sequencing in the track is on point, it's subtle. its a nice use of color within a muddy kinda palette which hints at unknown levels. i think this works well wit the music, and on a sidenote i think dubstep is probably one of the hardest music forms to try to f*ck wit on a visual level.
what i dont find so subtle and it seems others agree is the content. why train tracks? and graffiti? and explicit shooting up sequence thing? i understand the theme was dark places but this was the part of the project you could have perhaps developed more - your train of thought as to what 'dark places' entails...but from an editing/compositing point of view this vid defo has some strengths technically.
hope this is helpful.

Watched it. Turned off after what felt like a long time looking at a needle hanging out a man's arm - yuck. Other than that seemd pretty well done. Maybe a little shoe-gazy? I'm surprised you're able to substitute one track for another without changing the edit tho' but i guess you're not making a music video you're making visuals... suppose the needle thing would at least be a talking point / get you noticed at a club night
