i think these are mostly for audiophile vinyl-only DJs who take real pride in the fact that they spin vinyl and have old gear. being an audio engineer by trade, i have respect for people who get into gear, but more respect for people who spin wicked sets with whatever gear they have. maybe when im old and have a lot of money, i'll invest in an old urei and two matching black 1210s and spin a whole bunch of 45rpm vinyl on a kickass system for the 10 people in my town who'd appreciate what i was doing...

I get that, would invest in one if I had the funds, but since I'm not always pulling long ass mixes, it would certainly be a luxury for me
