If there are no mice around to look at you, yes.

Unless, ofcourse, you apply maths and physics to reality.

maths and physics gave rise to this theory though?

David Bohm certainly ascribed to it... well he pretty much invented it... and he was one of the worlds most respected and applauded physicists not to mention a protege of Einsteins...

you're talking like you know everything maths and physics will ever offer
tad arrogant

exactly
as everyone's interpretation of reality is different due to the nature of their unique consciousness, it is fair to say that consciousness creates reality
therefore the collective consciousness could be considered a dimension

I'd say conciousness is your individual perception of a reality.

It doesn't seem to me to be illogical to suggest consciousness could be a dimension. There is a strain of thought going around that suggests that reality doesn't actually exist as we know it, and everything basically consists of probability waves that we collapse into matter by observing, the same way an electron behaves like a wave until you observe it - and the very act of observing it appears to collapse it into a particle.

Personally I think that there are dimensions comprised of pure consciousness. We live in a universe where everything down to the smallest fundamental particle is a fractal, and given the properties of a fractal, this would mean our universe actually has a fractional number of dimensions. Although this is primarily the 3-dimensional universe, it helps explain to me why we experience the 4th dimension to some degree, but not fully (no time reverse). I believe consciousness on this plane to be the same, a small fractional manifestation of what exists in a higher dimension.

As I imagine it, every dimension from the 6th dimension upwards is comprised of consciousness.

A 4th dimensional object to me is a time-line, say you left a trail behind you and it formed a snake-like line stretching from your birth to your death.

The 5th dimension is that line splitting into alternate realities (which we also experience to some extent on this plane, see aforementioned electron slit experiment).

The 6th dimension is where I suppose the next plane of existence to be, which follows the pattern of self-similarity that exist within fractals - As our universe being comprised of fractals this suggests there will be other planes of existence at higher dimensions given the properties of self-similarity characteristic of fractals. I believe there are points where alternate realities coalesce - imagine alternate reality versions of yourself taking different actions, that lead back to the same point (say at a point where death is inevitable); this would form a 6th dimensional object/basic particle imo, and all of these put together would form the conscious dimension - the (our) Universal Mind.

That's a pretty good post

I get how consciousness could be a dimension because it's a specific angle of interpretation of what's going on around it (plus internal phenomena and quantum flux)... Maybe using 'dimension' makes it seem too 'flat' given we actually perceive in an omni-directional way

great post

@ Parson: im guessing you would say all dimensions are consciousness basically because of what Hackman said right? collective consciousness comprises all material reality thus anything outside of our own consciousness is comprised of the collective consciousness including all 'spatial' dimensions and everything beyond that too.

Makes sense.. seeing as all thoughts are are electrons dancing
