But most importantly the smokes

Cubicle life is a bitch for a producer. ionly good time spent there was either watching tuturials, reading about production, posting on the forum, dicking around and wishing i was at home in the studio.

I got around that by installing Audacity on my work machine. Means I can download whatever and slice bits out of it whilst at work. Transfer to key stick and ready to go as soon as I get home.

I've found that most people can't tell the difference between a sequencer and a spreadsheet - only when they see big red volume meters pumping or you rockin' out do they become suspicious...

What's wrong with having a job?? I have 100x more respect for someone that pulls their own weight and makes decent tunes than someone who has all day to make great tunes in their mom's basement.. just sayin lol

I'm dying for a job... -20 degrees here in Alberta. Won't have a license for a year and there is nowhere to work where I live. The only job I could get recently was building grain bins, and that sure wasn't an office job.
It's killing me, I just want to buy all these fancy synths and software and especially move to the city.

paying the bills, AND gives me mad fucking time to brush up on production technique. 50% of my learning happens during my job. that's completely unrelated to music.

Gonna state the obvious here....................................
ITS FUCKING FRIDAY
Also anyone doing anything for Children in need to raise monies?
I am not that big on charities but if it's something to help less fortunate kids or Cancer research then I am definetly game.
I am not doing anything to raise money as I can never think of a decent idea, but I do donate and that.

Children in Need used to be a big thing when I was a kid, like my Mum would let me stay up late to see celebrities making dicks out of themselves in the name of cha-re-dee. Nowadays, with Celebrity This and Get Me Out Of That, celebs acting like tossers on screen is a daily occurence. I think Children In Need has lost something as a result.

Every day I click to donate for each tab on
this site - breast cancer, children's health, literacy, rainforest, hunger, and animal rescue all in one. And the money comes from sponsors, which is cool.

Today's Office Bullshit:
So I'm being forced to give up my current seat (which has a window, total privacy, and has lots of space between me and my neighbors) to a new seat which honestly sucks balls, bigtime - it's a fucking panopticon as far as my monitors go, anybody can see what I'm looking at, and it's right by the weird accounting guys that nobody wants to talk to...
You probably won't hear quite as much from me once the move is complete.
However, I'm trying to take it in stride and pretend that it doesn't bum me out so much with the understanding that it's a down payment on working remotely full-time, or as close to it as I can get, in the near future. Wish me luck.
