I've been workin on some minimal recently, has a really refreshing workflow to it when you've been workin on dubstep
always nice when 2 sounds cross over unintentionally as well, leads to material that is fresh to both camps, theres a vibrant exchange of ideas goin on right now

Get down to Bogged Out on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month, 11am-5pm.
The club is an old public toilet which has been converted into a club!
Nice selection of minimal techno. Good crowd, wicked atmosphere! Hit me up for concessions if your interested in checking it out!
A lot of minimal techno heads are also interested in the dubstep scene aswell....I played some the other week at the end of Bogged Out and it went down really well!
Theres gonna be an 'anything goes' down at the toilet soon aswell, dubstep, dnb, minimal, tehcno....il post up more info in the near future!
fuck me 11 till 5?? maybe its cause im a simple northern boy but that just seems like a mad time for a club "night" even if your factoring stimulants into the equation.

I have been fusing "minimal" and dubstep into my dj sets for over a year now.
finally got around to making a track that fuses elements of both with trg.
I am really loving the the developments in this area actually. unlikely's minimal track is very good. also check 2562, martyn, the peverelist, appleblim, shacklelton.
of course you guys already know this;)

i love a lot of it but it's certainly not soulless and lacking innovation.
some mad sounds going on.
working on a mix atm which i will up if i'm happy with it.
What, and you get to decide
your happy with it? Why don't we decide when your happy with it?

Guess its a made-up/bloggers/'hipsters' (whatever they are, sounds very American to me!) name for micro- or glitchy, textured house.

nah its the sort of bumpy, choppy, itchy sound which came out of dave taylor (switch, solid groove etc), jesse rose, trevor loveys and suchlike. grew out of the deep house scene, now quite different though, takes a lot from hip-hop and its various equivalents (baile funk in particular i think)
at EFA, yeh man its a sick night, they've done a number of raves previously and its always massive, well worth attending given the chance

A Bit Patchy is ridiculous. such a big tune. works well with garage / broken too
but yeh Dave Taylor is the man, i think he's one of the best producers going, fingers in many pies, constantly evolving styles. his latest...
