Yeah I think it really depends on the rig/collective. In Norfolk there's quite a good scene for it, plenty of them are run by complete stnuc tho its a wonder they even manage to organise a night, just ends up as shit sound/music, too much K and a waste of fucking petrol. Having said that there are some really good soundsystems where you can always go knowing it will be a good vibe, smashing the jungle into the early morn (and piano house/oldskool hardore etc).
It's all about skanking til midday with your best mates infront of a well built rig. so much love goes into it, wicked times. Hallpartys are sick too.
Sucks caus people do put it all over the internet, and cops are showing up to more and more. Most of the time they just loiter by the entrance and give you some form as you drive out, maybe a search but its not too bad. Have been some bad instances like that Brains Kan one in Gt Yarmouth where the police got violent, but normally good if you pick the right ones.

fucking love and passionatly do own warehouse/outdoor parties.
but luckily in switzerland it's all a but smaller. i don't want to handle 8000 fucked up heads
last time 1800 showed up (we expected 800-1000) and the place was RAMMED.
i most enjoy parties in the woods when the sun is shining and all seems to be so fucking gold...

Those parties look awesome! Where I live in Montana those are the only kinds of raves we have... My town has no real venues or much of a crowd for electronic music, but during the summer there are some great parties out in the mountains, however last year two were broken up by police but its lookin like they are going to put them on again so I am very excited cus I will hopefully get to play at a few since I know the peeps. Parties in the woods are the best with the crazy hippies. I think the main problem here is that every fucking dj plays house music and when you try to drop some dubstep people are like this is too slow..... all I can do is facepalm.

Well, freeparties in machester is not that great they even got raided by police once I guess and even it was long time ago, it hits the history.

San Francisco and the bay area has this kinda thing down to a science. Never get too huge, but that generally keeps the cops off our back. Warehouses and campsites man haha. Love these parties... Tend to be way, way more fun than club/permitted parties. Granted, we don't get too many big name electronic acts outside of festivals, so of course the undergrounds are more fun. When we do have good headliners, the permitted parties are great too. But on a given day, you're more likely to find a good UG than a good permitted party.

Well organised raves in specific locations from WW2 bunkers to Warehouses.
Last night they threw another rave in Warrington under a hench bridge with thousands turning up. I've read recently in papers of London hosting some as well in flat blocks but to a lesser scale.
IMO the concept of a free rave is great! A date is announced and a number is distributed to select individuals, they then ring that number and it tells you to go to an area and to ring back later on for the specific location and when that time comes everyone rushes to the place as fast as possible. Crams in and the rave starts. Who knows when they finish?? Some have gone on for days??

Whos been to any of these types of raves? I was going to go for it last night but I couldnt really get off work. I was gonna duck but the double time on Sunday and the fact my mates didn't decide to go til the last minute made me go against it. I woke up at 5am this morning to see pics and vids on my friends' facebooks and I felt so so so rotten for not going.
I missed the party on Sat but went to other two you posted pics of, I have been going to Daylite Robbery parties since about 2005. Unfortunately I must say I dont enjoy them as much as I used to tho, there was much more of a darker yet intimate vibe back then and I loved it. Now the raves just seem to be full of posers imo and the music has also gone down hill. The tunes were alot darker and heavier back then and you knew with DRSS you were always bound to get a few jungle sets, nows its all jump up and filth. I'd like to say it is just me getting older but if they threw a party like they did in the old days I know for a fact I'd love it.
Anyway big up all the Manchester crews they have give me some of the most amazing nights of my life and by the looks of will continue to do for other people for a long time to come.

Been to 2 smallish (couple of hundred at peak time) parties.
I really like them, seemed well organised, 2 rigs, nice location where you get to see the sun come up ( ).
I also like the way that because they last for longer than your average club night, you get to hear so many different types of music.
Starting with Jump-Up / 'Filthier' Dubstep / Jungle, then it can end up with anything from old skool Hip-Hop to Deep House. And if the vibe is good and your having a good time, you don't really mind what their playing.
I'm looking forward to the Summer...
