All about converting the DnB lovers. Bainbridge (he's on this forum somewhere) runs a DnB night in York and at 1st wasn't feelin the Dubstep vibe but now he's got a handful of records, has messed about makin dubstep and co-runs Uprooted with me. Dubstep has claimed another life

P.S Come to uprooted this month to see Luke Envoy and Kromestar smash up York!!!!! (See the UK events section on the forum)

dubstep is so diverse atm it's getting ppl from all sort's of backgrounds into it.
i got into dubstep coz i liked to scratch a lot over 70 bmp bass heavy hiphop beats n heard some stuff off a mate n though "that would be nice to cut over",

i know ppl who got into it from a dnb background and ppl from techno, house, everything, the difference in style say from tes la rock to ramadanman is so big and there's so much in between that anyone who likes any form of dance music can find a element in dubstep they will like.

its true

fuck dnb crowds. they wanna hear dnb. i tried so hard to push dubstep on the dnb night here, and they made no secret about hating it.

the uninitiated crowds are the ones i really love to play for

in the longrun, this is what will give dubstep its longevity. the diversity of people feeding into it.

I came into from the reggae/dub angle as that is my shit... I was a technohead bck in the 90's so love my beats too...but took to the dub. I brought a bunch of heads over to Juju's Narco night in SF last week after my punk band played, none of them had heard dubstep and they were ALL on the floor fully skanking....it was a good night to be a virgin at as juju is a badman and smacked it... its pretty accessable if you can get people in front of a wall of speakers.... once you feel the bass pressure there no going back... Big up Juju

Someone said it on here before: there is no competition between dnb and dubstep, it's ok to listen to both. Therefore - stop converting people to dubstep - instead make them expand their tastes and let them add it to whatever music they've been listening to so far.

HERE HERE.. and odn tdrugs in front of me thats about it... dubstep brining people together... and thats the truth.

it is amazing though just how much the scene has grown since it kicked off in 2005 or whenever the fwd at the end was.. as since then i noticed an upward shift in gear of this scene we so passionately love... just keep down the wace behaviour and cut down on the pills.

really dont want this scene to be associated with anything other then stella and what my uncle's smoke(weed).

rant and appreciation over.

always liked your kind of d&b... the dubbier sound of things, not surprisingly
so again, no surprise when i took the plunge and start hooking into dubstep, i start picking up your tunes in it too.
