The mix he did for the autonomic rinse show January last year had footcrab, dumbshit, glut etc but it also had eyez, the fifth etc and he did his next few mixes like this but slowly dropped off the half step tunes. The Swamp81 show on Rinse and the tunes Loefah is currently pushing make me happy. Big up Loefah

Amen! The halftime loe created was made to give space to sets, 06-08 was almost 100% halftime dubstep and I feared we would get stuck there forever. Once again loefah is helping shape the sound of the floor. Feels great to have the energy back and it makes the halftime steppers stand out even more when played in a set of wild music.
Color me happy

pinch & loe - broken
asbo - dog money
although they aren't strictly loefah you can definitely hear him in both and they are definitely bangers
can't wait for more of the same to be honest.. i like all the swamp stuff but im getting bored of the same same "dungeon sound" coming from others.. loefahs tunes always seem to be dark but with a different vibe to the rest

it's great to mix in lots of the 02-05ish stuff that wasn't all half step into the newer bits (been reaching for 'Truly Dread' ALOT lately!)
i like alot of this "new direction" (albiet it's mostly house/electro), but i just fear it all getting too watered down when djs just start playing straight house sets. (if that makes sense...)

Not forgetting 'Mexican Slayride'. Loefah AND Benny Ill, it don't get no better than that.
Looking forward to some new Loefah solo stuff!

that makes complete sense! i love house and real electro, but only when they are mixed with dubstep, garage, etc... i don't want a whole mix of any one style... tbh, the "dungeon" style being mixed for one solid hour is just as boring as a solid mix of house to me... MIX IT UP imho

I remember going to Egg one time and they were playing house in EVERY SINGLE ROOM. All. Night. Long.
That was probably the most boring evening of my life.

Yes sir! The idea is to never get complacent with a sound, to continue to push and explore... Big up loe for never standing still. I love to see a great artists progression through the years

Good interviewer. Proper quotable interview as well, can't help but admire Loefah even more after listening to this.
