@Bledbox - I dig the groove. I feel like the bass could be fuller, though. I don't have any ideas for a vocal sample, but once you find one I think everything will sound pretty cool.
@charliefoy - This made me space out. Really awesome.
@willryan042 - Hell, if this is you "starting", then I think you're in damn good shape. Certainly beats the hell out of anything I've come up with so far. Good stuff.
Ok... I have only limited knowledge on creating this kind of music and am stuck using GarageBand (for now). Regardless, tell me what you think. I know I need a ton of improvement, but I'm here to learn!

Thanks charliefoy for the heads-up on how to embed.

thanks drummerpig! yeah, this is my third time making any sort of music electronically.
your track sounds good too, especially for garageband. I love the dark synths/whatever fx you have throughout the whole song. i really need to learn how to add stuff like that into my own work to add more diversity.

@haploid digging that bass it's something you can feel! maybe tone down the pad, or take out that saw sounding part it's a little harsh. But this has some real potiential I like it a lot.
@carsonac Cheers for the advice mate, I think I have now cut out the frequency for the bass. Yip will add you to soundcloud
@ bradicle Really digging like it so far, Maybe tone down the synth a little bit. Awesome intro, keep feeling it and go with the flow. It's Lib from gp forums btw
@JemGrover I like it a lot, very moody bassline, solid track. Maybe change the stabs around, some of them don't suit.
@offkey lickedbeatz Awesome so far, maybe have a break down and raise the resonance on your drums and synth, or go for something tranquil to cut from the dirty synth and b line. Something like Rusko - Hold On.
@Dr-zitbag Really impressive, sounds likes its got a old school rave feel to it, maybe use Zomby - Float for inspiration. Keen to hear
the finished product.
@will ryan Good effort, keep praticing those skills,
I'm also new to production, need to invest in some monitors haha!

let me know how the mix sounds im in the process of trying to get in a studio setting. and general feedback is always considered.
@ willryan, this is purely an opinion, but your tune is too major key-ish for that lil wayne clip. it just doesnt match up. technically its good but im not feeling the actuall clip itself.

this is the part where i remind myself that i need to learn more about music theory. what do you suggest, adjusting to a minor key?

ya this is where 7 years in a nationally ranked band program has helped me signifigantly in production. and I'm not its the key of the song, but the song itself. its a mean clip, but not a mean song

cant comment on any mixes atm, only on my laptop
@drummerpig - sounds good. think about mixing up your cymbal and clap samples a bit, or add some modulation. sounds a bit static. also, the synth is the same all the way through, maybe use another synth? mix it up.
@offkey - really like the production, the sounds all remind me of skream sort of production. doesnt really go anywhere though. unless thats what you wanted. should get on building something up, i really like it.
@nexxuss - leave feedback to someone elses tunes first
@bledbox - ride sounds a bit loud, but im on laptop so might be my problem not yours. or switch up the rythym after the drop.
heres a track which isnt dubstep, but everyone has pretty sick ideas and criticism on here

@drummerpig - It's quite good considering it's on garagband. I would maybe edit the synths abit to stop them sounding so generic and samey. Also, may add some effects to some. If I were you I'd look up on google for some free AU plug-ins which could help you make some really grimey nasty synths. Keep up the work. Look forward to hear what you do with it.
@rightontime27 - I really like that intro and the sub is really deep and fat. I like it very much. The percussion is ace too, maybe add a touch more reverb to it? That drop is so nice. I really like this one. Keep it up
@-boring - I really like that metallic synth going on there. I think it would be good with a little delay / echo on it.
@reignz - filthy, filthy, filthy. That one will go hard when it is dropped in a club.
Here's mine,

- 4Trak: off to a good start bro, feeling the pad and the percussion. Tighten up your kick and maybe turn down the volume of your snare with some more delay/reverb, to give it a real spacey feel.
- samkablaam: i liked it from 6.00 on , the vocals with the sub worked well. Im not really into the progressive/house/minimal stuff you made before you dropped it into the part i liked.
- boring: i liked your percussion rythm, but the rest sounded like a bunch of noises thrown upon eachother, didn't really like it sorry bro...
- RightOnTime: well produced, the sound was clean, your drums where horribly soaked in the background tho. Again I had the feeling some times it were just a buch of noises thrown in without any structural ideas behind it, no patterns coming back that can make you go 'yeah i just heard that , now i know how to bang to it!' . This doesn't go for the whole tune tho, there were some parts i liked. From 1.40 on is a nice bit for example.
- drummerpig: for garageband it's nice man, well done. As a whole it sounds like you just discovered the wobble , which is nice ofcourse, but to have it go at the same 2 rates for a whole tune maybe is just abit too much
- will ryan : same as said before, its not a bad tune but the major keys just don't fit with lil' wayne's vocal. I especially liked your kick drum, which was basic yet clean and punchy, well done on that!
- charliefox: yeah man! feeling this one, nice ambient feeling , cool drums and cool fx patterns. Im a fan
That was the promised feedback, gonna post my tune up in the finished section as it's finished. Soundcloud feedback always appreciated

Firstly, not unless your posting a tune, secondly I posted more than three pieces of feedback with my last tune here and thirdly 'Are you a troll?' IS feedback relating to the tune he posted.
So...Naaaaaaah!
EDIT: I'm aware of the irony of this but I did just wanna post this.
@drummerpig - Well done for placing your first post in the correct place and not breaking any of the rules! At least *some* people in this world have more than 3 iq points.
As for your tune, it's not too bad for someone just starting out and using garageband of all things!! Not really feeling your main bassline tbh, cool noise but the notes are a bit :s also some of the drums seem a little out of time but overall your doing ok for what your working with! Might I suggest if you don't have the money to purchase a big name DAW at the moment that you look into the program Reaper? It is free at first and then very cheap when the trial runs out and it is so much better than garageband. There are also a lot of very informative threads on this site that should help you in getting started as a producer.
Heres the link to reaper;
http://www.reaper.fm/index.php
keep at it, you have a long way to go but dont be disheartened! If you dig producing and can afford to purchase something but only under £200 then look into reason or fruityloops cos they are pretty cheap compared to some of the others.

How would you suggest cleaning up my drums? and would you suggest using fewer sounds and simplifying the track a little? Are there specific sounds where they came in and you went ugh? I appreciate the feedback.

probably because you're trolling, thus the inference that you are a troll.
