I have about 20 unfinished tracks i've been fucking about with over a few years. Any tips or feedback of how to get my stuff sounding "tight" is much appreciated.
Hoping to crack down in my free time and get a few more up I also have the world's worst monitors. I'm going to invest in proper ones soon, but is it worth Eqing etc in my Senheisser cans too?
tripwire 22 nocturne-wip :I like the choird in the intro , the drums fit good with the feeling , a little lo-fi but good .
swangsong :creepy intro ¡ like the noise that you add , not so much the chords in the synth , maybe you could do something more dark to fit with the background noise . i don't like the vocals samples too , i don't know , dont feel your tune too much , sorry.
trafikkz: i don't know what to say , not feeling the sounds you use , you track leave me with a sad feeling after hearing , that not good i guess.
hakka :wow a song based in Lovecraft can't be bad ¡¡¡ , well done mate , really like your tune.maybe the lead line is a little upfront , maybe add some delay , chorus o turn down the volumen in that.
gonzodj:don't like the intro , sorry , is too boring for me ,maybe add a little something to it , and man your snare is way too loud ¡¡ , maybe put a bass line in some place , keep working , not feeling your tune too much , sorry.

@ Quasy - Thought it all worked well together. Not usually my kind of track but i enjoyed this. Nice melodies. Definately think another couple of leads will compliment the harmony of the track.
@ Sparxy - Nice dark tune mate. It might benefit from a lead over the stab bass, or a little more variation imo. Sounding good so far.
@ Zuta - Love this track dude. Really cool vibes. Love the builds.
Here's something i've just started working on. Kinda going for a harder vibe. Still much to do but i'm keen for feedback before i start work again. All appreciated as usual Soundcloud
a new drum loop im crankin out alot of things lately

@ Mind Control - Nice Ambient beat man, sounds like some dark chanting music. Got the Ambience down to a t. Cant wait to hear more!
@ Zuta - Amazing FX on the track! Wish i could make stuff like that, design and production is top notch. Great Track!
@ Tripwire - Nice perc in that mate, drums sound crisp and bass is weighty. Top job!

- Jaydot: just abit too many kicks for my taste , otherwise it's pretty cool mate, sort out your levels and i'm sure i'll go right down on the dancefloor.
- tripwire: it's nice man, but not one of the best things i've seen you make. defo something you could work out though
- Olux : the bass reminds me alot Distance, good job on the drums too. The automations are next level man but the flow is totally missing. I couldn't really imagine myself going wild on it. Work on that and it'll be damn good
- Zuta : I like your idea, but your midrange is dominating your bass , and you don't want that the energy/darkness is really good but i'd turn down those higher pitched synths abit and let the bass do the talking. on a second note , this reminded me alot of psytrance tracks i've listened
- Sparxy : I agree with what tripwire said, the snare sounds too flat. also there's some clipping midrange which kinda hurt my ears while i was listening
- a.paul : off to a good start for a nice laidback tune, needs some filling up though and abit more flow in it
Worked abit more on my remix , imo it's starting to sound the way i intended it
@ Reignz: Still a WIP? Sounds wicked already. On a technical level there isn't much i can advise you (also,
that'd be a bit awkward). Wobblz are great, vocal is pretty nifty. Only element i don't really like
is the sound @ 1:01 (the one that stealth elf likes). Overall superb track, finish it!
@ Jaydot: Loving the ideas. For some reason i feel that the track could use some more vocal samples. Also,
i'd cut down on the amount of kicks. But i think it's dope already!
@ Olux: Wow, filthy yet such a clean mix. I like it very much, but it could use some more elements imo.
Feels a bit empty at times. Not a big fan of sung vocals, but i guess it works. Good one.
Here's my updated wippy, produced with 1 hand, as the left box of my headphones lost contact, and i had to
hold the wire twisted to keep it stereo. Anyways, would love some feedback! Soundcloud

@Reign: Love it man, heavy shit
@Traffikz: I'm a fan of those kinda basses, did you use Massive's performer on that? Nice track though dude>
Remastered version of mine^
About the levels I tried automating the filters for different kinds of sound every half-bar on the bass, it just makes it muted at points though :/ Anyway I'll look into that.

Used Massive, but not the performer. Just the basic LFO technique.

jay dot i like the police sampler in the intro , and all kind of reggae stuff , maybe too much kick drums , and the synth line is too loud for me , keep working
willg :like the fxs , like you say a chillout tune , well done i think , i like it man , great use of panning too
olux: i really like the intro , man your shit sound GOOD , love the sounds the vocals are fine too , well done , the best tune on this page
@Zuta: Dude, nice percussion. The intro was interesting, but it really took off for me when the drums came in. Nice synths at 2:46, too.
@Willg: Loving the vibe there. I think you should watch your high frequencies, though.
@Reignz: Ah, you teased me in the intro. I took my eyes away from the page long enough -- oh man, that drop is sweeeeet (I'm typing as I listen). Nice synths going on there. Snare fill? Nice. And reversing? Double nice. I'm looking forward to the finished version.
So... back again. Haven't finished the Calypso remix, but I finished this:
