Had a great time and met some totally amazing people. There was a lot of knobheads about but also a lot of really sound people so you just powered through it really.

Top 10 of the weekend:

1) Loefah playing an old school dubstep set.

Finally Goat Stare on a system. Even if the dock arena for the whole of DMZ was a bit shit. Real shame. Set was nuts. Even got a bit of Dizzee in.

2) Oneman (at the Moat and on the boat)

Mad selection, seriously went hard and the sound system in the moat was the best system at the festival hands down. Pure bliss.

3) Kode 9

Kode 9 killed it. Opened with Archangel, through a load of hyperdub and into a bit of grime. Was insane. The bass was far too loud in here though and the high end was just drowned out. I felt ill afterwards.

4) Boddika (at The Moat and on the boat)

Confirms my love for this swamp/acid house sound thing going on. Bass heavy as fuck in the moat and totally destroyed the place. Even on the boat his selection was sick. Even played a load of hip hop to start off with.

5) Goth-Trad vs. Vivek.

Need I say anymore?   Goth-Trad killed, Vivek is a badman as usual.

6) Bok Bok vs L-Viz 1990.

Night slugs on Sunday. So fucking good. Sound system was deep as fuck too.

7) Ikonika

Saw her in Amsterdam earlier in the year and thought she was ok but she destroyed the place! Sound system was the same as Kode 9s and was farr too bass heavy. Soundman really should know to do his job.

8 ) Ben UFO.

Started off a bit weak but once more people got in. Place went off, especially for 7pm!! Sound system was weak in the dock, like usual.

9) Silkie vs. Quest

Big set from these. Some old bangers were brought out and some really good newer tunes. Didn't expect anything less.

10) Zed Bias

Really, really good set from him. I ain't heard much of Zed Bias if I am honest but know what he did for dubstep so I checked him out, especially since his release on Swamp is big. Sound system in the moat was insane!

Disapointments: Digital Mytikz. Really poor set, sound system was a bit rubbish. Kromestar was just trash. Cyrus not coming to his set? Not sure what happened there. The amount of litter sucked, the queues for the loos and showers. The state of the toilets once the Sunshine buses arrived. Not seeing anyone from DSF! Minus Fassyman but only because we met and didn't even know who each other was on DSF.

Overall, better than last year. Not sure if we are going again next year but reckon we probably will. Croatia, Croatia!!

Didn't Cyrus do a B2B with Distance and Tunnidge before Loefah's set?

yeah i was on that bus with him from trieste. it fannied around for over an hour even though it was full (with no airconditioning on - thanks :W: ), and then it stopped near to outlook and fannied around even more until people started making noises that cyrus needed to get back

What a festival!

Since people are sharing some of their experiences...

I was with mates who were into quite different music as me so I had pretty much planned on heading off by myself for a lot of it, but first night I decided to stick with them because I wasn't as fussed about the DJs as other mights.

Started off watching David Rodigan - really entertaining and enjoyable :) Hung around the main stage for a while and then headed to the Dock Stage, watched Plastician who I seemed to remember mainly playing brostep :|

Day two was spent pretty much entirely at the DMZ stage. Loved it mainly because I'm well into all the artists. Can't really say which set I enjoyed most, it was just a wicked atmosphere with all the crew hanging out behind the decks.

I passed out on the 3rd night from too much alcohol before I went out (damn that horribly cheap 2 litre read wine) - still pissed off with myself for that one.

Final night I basically drifted between the Dock stage and the one where Night Slugs guys were playing. Probably my favourite night, I wasn't drinking but I kept going for so long. Loved Scuba's set and Girl Unit was great too :corndance:

Also loved Addison Groove's set as my finale for the weekend. I was so tired but couldn't help dancing like crazy when he was allowed to play about 3 more tunes than he was supposed to, one of them being some crazy breakcore stuff.

I dunno i think it lacked a bit of presence, the delays were tight as a ducks arse tho, really nice fluidity wherever you were.
3) Kode 9

Kode 9 killed it. Opened with Archangel, through a load of hyperdub and into a bit of grime. Was insane. The bass was far too loud in here though and the high end was just drowned out. I felt ill afterwards.

More to do with where you were in the arena, the sound booth was at the very back behind x-thousand people. I thought the main stage sounded nice when i was there. it maybe was a bit high on the bottom end down the front but it was to please the masses ey.

Disapointments: Digital Mytikz. Really poor set, sound system was a bit rubbish.
big dissapointment!
Cyrus not coming to his set? Not sure what happened there.
me neither but caught him in the ballroom later that night and he ripped the place up.
The amount of litter sucked
BIG TIME

that girl was a fucking idiot. Ruined partof DMZ coz i was sure she was gonna fall and proper hurt herself. Felt well sorry for the security guard, if they have to deal with stuff like that I almost understand why they all acted liked tnucs
