Like the pad lots, got a nice warm feel to it, and the not so "in your face" drums compliment it well... interesting...

Going through the motions with this, I think. Not come up with any concrete idea for a structure, but I'm currently in the process of adding more percussion to it.
Be harsh, though. I'm kinda looking for reasons not to finish it. Feels very generic, but I don't want to rule out being to objective

@charliefoy
I like the idea, but when its just you're bass/sub and you bass drum (like right after the drop) it needs something on the higher end of the spectrum. like a sine 2-3 octaves up would be nice

@JemGrover Im loving that nice melody you got there, especially the sample you choose, maybe doubling up the tempo in the percussion would be a natural progression for it, i think the song is screaming for some voicals too.

this is what i'm working on now, it needs more lfo'ing right now is a bunch of duplicated automation

pd: i need new monitors :i: :i:

@Fonnovo Liking the vibe of this. Like you say, it could do with a little more variation and I think the bass drum is getting a little lost, maybe try scooping out a lil' bit of the bass line?

@RightOnTime27 Some nice sound design here but everything sounded a little bit too much 'to the grid' for my ears, playing some parts in live would add a bit of groove. Some more panning/width would be a treat too.

@JemGrover A great start. Put a soaring melody above that and you're well on the way to something really lush.

I started this in the morning whilst half asleep and quite liked it Went out for a bit, played it when I got back and it's sounds pretty awful to me now.
What do you guys think? Delete or persevere?

@Charliefoy

Good ambient intro, really like the drums when they come in. Gets a bit repetitive but as you said you are going to add some variation. But i like the direction this is going.

@jemgrover

I like the intro synth and the pads, maybe automate the pads to wobble a bit, not loads but just to get a bit more movement, i also like the hi hat pattern, good shuffle to it. The kick doesn't seem to fit, seems very high in the mix. But i really like where this one is going. Definitely needs to be finished and not scrapped.

@toot

Very trippy haha, sounds like a broken gameboy in some kind of toy factory, in a good way. Not sure if that was the direction you were taking.

Here is my nearly finished track, still no vocals, but i think it had improved since i last posted it on here. Need like the final lot of feedback before i do the last mixdown before the vocal version

Cheers :e:

@mattyseizure i'm loving the sound design on this one, i think the drums are way lost behind that monster wob wob machine you got there... but the overall ambience is a winrar to me :e:

Yea cheers for pointing that out, goes to show you need to give your ears a break when mixing. All a learning curve I spose, ive learnt so much from just making this one song haha

@mattyseizure sounding really nice :) try beefing up the drums a bit and maybe lower the filter cut off a bit on the wobble :) On its way though!

Dark moody track, the vocals work really well I think, I'd quite like to hear some more variety percussive-wise though...

Right so I've got this here
Soundcloud

Looking for some general feedback, but I also need an idea for a vocal sample before the drop and have no idea what, so, any ideas?
Nice I will definitely get the percs going more

@Bledbox
I like your track, keep working on it! Its got a very long buildup though, maybe taking some bars out of that would be nice... or evolving it more, I kind of felt like I was listening to a loop for a long time. But overall I wanna hear more so keep building!!
