^ I want that knob to have a longer pitch down..

As you can see it moves in cents not semi-tones.

I automated the pitch in Sylenth1 but it didn't have the effect I wanted (but got it via automating channel pitch via piano roll).

So to make it cleaner I was wondering if there was away to do it via that knob (100% sure ive done it before but can't work it out)

yeah what i said, the number next to the pitch whell that the red square is around. that number is on 2 which means your only automating 2 semitones (200 cents). you can put it all the way to 24 i think. 2400 cents. its on 2. put it on 12 which is a whole octave and see if that helps.

and FL is kind of dumb about pitch in vsts.

example: im making a FM8 patch and i want my pitch bend wheel to do more to the sound, so i turn the pitch bend range up in FM8 and hear no difference and im like wtf? Then i realize i have to tell FL how much i want to pitch bend (by changing the number next to the pitch knob) to the same as FM8's range, or going over the range set in FM8 (even though it will only bend as far as you tell FM8 not FL)

syncing acapellas.. huge problem for me.. ive watched all the videos/ tutorials to no avail.. and i have a number of tunes id like to remix.. the problem always seems to be that the snare just doesnt line up proper.. id like to keep it on the 3rd bar i dont wanna have to work around the acapellas so much that it doesnt even sound dubsteppish anymore.. help?

Do you know what BPM it is?

If so... Try this..

Place your project file at that BPM.

Stretch the acapella with bar on snap - 1 space back/forth.

On the stretching options hit Pro Default.

Bring it back to 140..

Chop it up to fit perfectly.

Thats how I do mine :).

If you don't know the BPM load it into this..

http://www.mixmeister.com/bpmanalyzer/bpmanalyzer.asp its pretty accurate.

open it up in a sampler right click the waveform and hit detect tempo. select where you think it falls in, it will give you a number and try that out.

now remember accapellas arent always gonna line up for you when you just put them in. listen to the real song and see where the first set of vocals kicks in. Is it on the downbeat? 2 beats before the downbeat?

its all trial and error, and you can always cut it up and just insert where you want them to kick in. If they are all on downbeats it should sync itself if you cut them all up (meaning it should sound fine)

I was wondering if there is any way to have for example 1 zone on my axiom 49 to control FL`s live playlist and have another zone to control a synth. Or any other example of controling and switching between synths without having to mark that channel without my mouse, i want to use only my midi controller`s midi messages to switch between synths and play them. More simple, how do I set up two zones on my keyb and play two different synths. From c3 - c4 massive, from c#4 - c7 synth 1. Thanks.

i know it's stupid but i wanna ask this
with samples like those.how do you use them.you take a sample like that and put in fl studio playlist or first you chop it and then try to make sound original...because i'm thinking if someone put the sample just like in the pack it won't be sound to original.

srry for my english

Pitch it, timestretch it, fx, repeat. All in super minimal amounts.

i think i understand, your gonna want to open the sample properties for the wav. (the square box that pops up when you click it). in the second row down there is a button to click that says "use loop points" make sure thats lit up. now go down to the knobs just above the waveform and turn the CRF knob to 1% (it shows the percent in top left corner) now the sample will only play for however long the note is in the piano roll.

Dude, Sheff... I feel SORRY for you dude.... I don't know how you can work if ALL the synths do that for you...

This will shed some light on it, all you have to do is click in the wrapper settings (top left of massive) and select the 'don't allow keyboard focus' and then massive will work fine, it was pissing me off too then i realised that box and has made me so much better at using massive, I don't know if this setting applies to the native synths though i'll check...
