Yeah, I actually like mixing with vinyl better, just because of the way I can manipulate vinyl.
I have no problem mixing digitally or with vinyl, I just like the feel of vinyl better.

the reward of a big mix with vinyl is 100% more satisfying than with traktor. traktor is made for house, to utilize the 4 decks.

at the end of the day it's about the jouney you take the people on, not what medium it is. either you rock the crowd, share your vision, or just act as a jukebox who can beatmatch. a good artist isn't limited by their tools, nor do they limit the tools at their disposal.

Neither does vinyl.
i didnt say it did
So then why did you bring it up?
you brought that up actually.
but now that you mention it you have to throw the record on the right measure where as on ableton it will automatically throw it on a 16/32/ whatever you want it to.
so you pressed it and were proven wrong

Why??
If they just let it like it was, everybody would still be buying vinyl. Producers would earn money. So the producers who are shit a dj'ing wouldn't have use stupid digital stuff to be able to do gigs, so they can earn some money that they deserve for their hard work.
What is so special about going to see somebody live pressing every 2 minutes a button? If you go see a live show, you are expecting to hear some sick guitar or whatever. If you go to party, you want to see a skilled real dj no? You don't pay 5 euro entrance to see someone push buttons, and raising his hands like he's the badman..
finally someone gets the full circle aspect of it all

I go to a party to hear music. I don't know why you would go to a party if it wasn't for the music. If it's just the vinyl that excites you, you can get it by the sheet here.

no offense but ieven when economy was good vinyl didnt put out the styles i dig, just what was commercially viable
digital granted you have to dig like mad, but more rewarding, and shit unless the label is taking risks better tunes
no ovberhead or pressing cost or p&d unfair deals

i put two (2) pieces of toast in my toaster in the morning, set that shit on 4 or 5 depending on how well-baked I want it too be/sound when I put it in my mouth before smearing on some grape jelly and/or
raspberry marmelade, depending on my mood at the time. The trick is in finding that balance between crunchy yet still nice and soft ( and to be fair, you can add some nice butter to gain the proper effect or filter)
yet I still keep that shit on an analog basis: standard butter knife, ceramic plate. Add some reverb: people usually waking up saying "yo wtf is that shit smells good make me some" and then you can still mix it all up digitally by writing about stupid unrelated shit like this on the internet.
So fair and square bro, I got the best of both worlds. My question for you: Got milk?

i am personally holding the opinion that there should be producers and there should be djs. what happens when a producer has to dj or the other way around is you get a half assed product. im not saying that everyone that djs cant make a track or the producers can spin but to really be at the top of your game in either you dont have time for the other.
with that being said all of these jackasses that sit there and line up their tracks in ableton then hit the button to trigger the song ( and mind you they dont even have to hit the fucking buttons in time ) need to step down and let the big boys do the work on the decks. for fucks sake a retarded monkey can sit there and hit buttons.....
wise words...
same for cd-djs.
dubstep is a vinylculture, just as reggae or dnb or whatever that is west-indian-influenced. it's like that, and that's the way it is.
and yeah, i know. it's heavy to transport, and it's expensive. and maybe you need to care more for the medium.
so what? being a dj is not ment to be that easy, and that's okay

Oh really? I will personally prefer to pay to see someone press buttons, use tons of effects and manipulate sounds and tracks in ableton, mix multiple tracks at a time and have a good selection than someone else beatmatch one track after the other and be like "yeaaah, good beatmatch bro"...
Fuck off with your bullsht. I just can't belive people stick to vynil when there's another medium that sounds better, is cheaper, more practical and offers tons more possibilities. You guys are living in the past.
"When becomes mobility and easyness more important than the actual sound itself?"
When has "vynil culture" and "purism" become more important than the actual sound itself.
I say creativity is more important than being loyal to the roots of an abstract and useless vynil culture.

lol, now don't get all upset about this mate.
It's like vulva said: dubstep is a vynil culture, it's meant to be played on vynil. If you want to hear ppl press buttons, making live music with analog gear (like vynil is analog) then you go to see them, i would too. But i would personally hate someone who's making live dubstep. It would be so cheap. You just can't construct something like what the true dubstepproducer make, that sounds decent to play live. You can't play dubstep in another way then spinning the tunes. You simply can't reconstruct a sick compition like the tune itself for live. So -> vynil is the way to go.
What is meant to play live is experimental electronic music, like -i can't think of a better example than Sphongle, or Younger Brother. Those guys are fucking genious. I don't say it's impossible to do something like that with dubstep, but it would take more than a fucking digital computer (yah, coz computers is digitl ) to do it.
Rumour is that Mount Kimbie are constructing something, even with guitar Can't wait to hear that

certain types of dubstep can't be played live yes...but some can
