I grasped that, many many many years ago.
But in the end we're all just different levels of douche.
However this guy is a bigger douche than most.

Anyway, I guess you could call this guy a 3rd generation dubstepper. He probably hasn't the faintest about the roots or history of the genre, which would go some way to explaining his disregard for vinyl culture. He'd probably struggle to explain what a 'dubplate' is, as those concepts don't come into his perception of what dubstep is.

It is easy to get pretty pissed off with his general attitude towards the scene and his way of promoting and putting on events. But it's largely out of ignorance, so you gotta understand that he just doesn't think like a lot of people here do, and has different priorities.

That being said, he does come off as a pillock of the highest order.
wtf is a dubplate? you mean a 320? :6:

i see something like this dj psycho guy and i understand all that seckle said in his post. you could be merciful and cut dj psycho some lack as living in america crippled his thoughts and views on raves and music. dj psycho and most people here don't see, know, or care about the connection, the history, the past, they just know the present culture that they see here, which via the internet (most likely) gave them all the artist seckle mentioned. Most of these people, and DJs in general in other fields of music just don't play vinyl anymore. it is much easier to load up a laptop with 2,000 tunes and carry that around than break your back bringing along heavy crates full of records. This is what people like dj psycho grew up with, thats his culture, and not just in america, but in most places around the world.

on the other hand, you can hate on this dj psycho clown for saying that vinyl is dead. Because for us people that value the music more than money know that a true rave will always have vinyl being played as it's the best medium for a rich vibrant sound.

that is his other shortcoming though, he did say vinyl is for audiophiles. that right there is another indication as to why he doesn't care about vinyl, the guy doesn't even care about proper quality. to him, hq is probably 320 or flac files, which we all know is good for mobility, but for a true clubbing experience? This guy is not a proper promoter at all, he's just a kid.
