Had something similar happen myself

Went to amsterdam with some mates and we decided to bring back a little bit of weed each. Each of us put about a twenty bag in our socks.
Go through the security bit at customs where you have to take your shoes off and I am sure everyone can smell it. I definitely can.
Walk through and put our shoes and bags through the x-ray machine. This women pulls my mate to one side and starts searching his bag. ..
Ends up confiscating some boob enlargement cream that he had bought as a joke present for someone

unless if you've got a strong link in the country you're going to, yes.

you're just gonna get ripped off by men trying to sell you sunglasses

been stopped a couple of times for weed and had it confiscated, first time was in soho square and we wer all wearing fake moustaches

I supposed i've never been ripped off or struggling that bad.

20 euro for 3g's was not what i expected though, thought it was gonna be 20E for 1g at a festival.

The dealer was a guy from Chicago, said him and his mates made a living going round European and US festivals from March/April to October selling drugs

was at a friends house when he got raided for distribution. his housemate said "cops are here", six of em, and I was out the back door, across the lawn, and gone with 2 oz of stinky gdp before the cops ever saw me . just after that, i realized i had left my other 2oz in my bag with my laptop and class books, but as it turned out the cops only had warrants for certain parts of the house, and they never even saw my bag.

another time i was out and about at 4am or so on acid doing things i shouldnt have been doing. I had a few more blotters in the change pocket of my jeans wrapped in foil. 2 cop cars rolled up on us, and my friend and i both got patted down and pockets searched. cop's hands brushed over the acid and he didnt notice it. as my friend was getting searched the cops noticed a bag in his jacket pocket. just then he started making excuses about how he had just gotten the jacket out of his closet from last year and how he didnt know what it was in his pocket. it turned out to be a half eaten pack of mostly crushed peanut butter crackers. as the cops ran our IDs for warrants and such, they started chatting and joking with us about what idiots the people at dispatch were. laughing at their jokes and some smooth talking got us sent on our way with an explanation that crime rates in the area were up and they were stopping anyone out at odd hours of the night.

also been stopped with an 8th in my pocket, but wasnt searched that time. ive got plenty of other almost nicked stories from my university days, but the feeling that my fair share of lucky breaks had been exhausted has led me to fix up quite a bit since then.

what about the liquid and gels ban?

does not apply to checked suitcases and luggage, only carry-ons. also a strip of blotters jammed into a book binding will easily go unnoticed by customs.

I'll always remember sharing a taxi from Sydney airport
with a just-arrived countryman of yours
and he pulls out what must've been a pound of Durban Poison
and offers me a handful...insane!

before the post-WT blitz,
I bought a dozen sticks of buddha in Bali
& totally forgot I put them in my bag
(not that surprising after mushroom omelettes & perfect surf)
Coming home, Customs went thru the bag
but only when I unpacked & found it,
did I remember putting it there.
And I didn't really smoke at the time,
just bought it cos it was ubiquitous...gave it to mates.


A few years ago there was a big police crackdown around the Cross
with a lot of the aboriginal women dealers being busted
so I'm exchanging my moula for a bag of buds when a flying squad rocks up.
Quick thinking (as usual ) I've put my arm around her (she was quick too)
and we've loudly negotiated a price, smirked at the watching ociffers
and walked through them, batting our eyes at each other.
I heard she got jailed not long after though.

...but on a few occasions I haven't been so lucky.
