Nope the group track has effects and everything like a nornal bus

Yeah it does output all tracks through a bus when using the summing stack. You still have individual control over all separate tracks for effects, volume, panning and the like. Not sure on the folder stack and honestly can't see myself personally using it.
It is a fantastic feature and works so much better than pro 9's folders.

Get on logicprohelp.com, there's loads of good topics floating about discussing such things.
i was under the impression nothing was removed from logic 9. all the features are still there. apparently some commands are changed and stuff but everything is still there so maybe give it some more time to learn and get used to all of the changes?
Nope, lots of very small features have been removed but they aren't key features I guess and thus haven't been detailed in the manual etc.
Check out the logicprohelp thread that lloydy posted for more details, and there's a few other useful threads too. Not to sound like a twat but I'm a certified Logic Pro Trainer so it was quite easy to adapt to X straight away. However, the omission of said features, and the change in operation of some that still remain, is really starting to fuck with me the deeper I get into X!
Back to 9 for me until the feedback gets through to Apple and they sort all this out.

all my plugs are 64 bit so thats a non issue for me. i purposely only bought 64 bit plugs when switching from reason to logic for this reason. i knew apple would ditch 32 bit first just as they were the first to ditch optical drives from their laptops etc. they have a tendency of out with the old in with the new shit. it can be a pain at the time but its all about adapting yanno? i personally like running in 64 bit to reap the performance benefits so...

The Studio I work at uses Logic Pro 9, kinda sucks that we can't upgrade to Pro X for a while. We've only got 32 bit unfortunately .

you only have 32 bit plugs? most companies have 64 bit now, just download the 64 bit versions? if you need to ditch a couple plugs or replace them then i guess just weight the options out and see if logic x is worth dropping or replacing such plugs. also keep in mind that most if not all of those 32 bit plugs will become 64 bit sooner or later.

Moved back to 9 as the one synth I use the most hasn't had a 64bit update (Sylenth1)

Is the 3rd party plug-in managing any different? This would probably be a deal breaker for me...
