as long as your tastes don't include anything forward thinking, or NOT dubstep--then yea.. all will be good. as soon as you mention anything else... WATCH OUT.

Geeze who cares what music people like? Even if this is a dubstep forum, it's all about music. There have been so many influences from other genres that it doesn't matter what people like.
Just quit the shit and lets be relax now ok?

I'd like to be able to make a comment, loved-up or otherwise, about a tune/show/set and not have said dj and his mates on my (virtual) case when I've done it.
a critical point (no pun intended), excellently made.
i agree with this as well and hope that came across in my initial post. i dont think of this as being some place where honest criticism shouldnt be supported, in fact i think its necessary. unfortunately i dont think some people on here can handle that, meaning the maturity level has dropped here. i find it amusing that this thread has ended up being a bicker session and is indicative of the kind of unconstructive attitudes and juvenile tone on here...
i might be on here less and less, because its honestly just not that interesting...

dubplate.net had a 'music' forum where people talked about dubstep (because it was a dubstep forum) and a 'general' forum that was always full of flame wars and off topic threads. it was win-win.

same here.
all respect to dubway and the mods, especially given the sudden growth of the forum, but this type of thing is forum-death if it's not kept in check. lock threads. give people warnings for abuse. ban if they're too stubborn to see how they're causing problems. it's not being elitist. it's just a matter of maintaining certain ideals within a given online community.
not that it should be up to the mods to keep people in check. anyone who's routinely starting arguments, being rude to members, etc. should ask themselves why they bother to login.

If people post non-dubstep stuff, who cares really? It's not that important surely.
