i dont think its the safest thing to be friends with ur ex...
weak spirited people get caught up in emotions and its hard to get over it.
If youre strong enough to accept the fact that its over, and can tolerate seeing the other person with someone else, then cool, but seldom does that happen.

I really dont think it is to be honest, theres too many feeling or feeling that were involved and wen new partners come on the scene things could become akward.

this is very true. i'm a lot more ok seeing my ex than she is with seeing me. which is why i rarely see her tbh, just ends up being far too stressful. saw her the other day though and it was ok, but had been months since i'd seen her before that

usually its the girls who get more caught up in emotions.

would u rather see ur 'friend' miserable...you know after getting all emotional you will either fall back into it cuz u dont want to see them upset, or u will end up pissed off from hearing their bullshit. Lets be realistic here.

sounds harsh but it might actually be the best thing to do. especially in the short term. things are a lot better with my ex now largely because i haven't really seen or spoken to her much
