Given our technological age and evolution why does it appear that people are generally getting stupider. Is facebook or internet culture breeding this type of idiot or have people always been like this and websites just offer a visible forum for a mass collective of people/idiot to 'share' whatever shit is on their minds at a whim.

I don't mean to put myself above anyone or come across intellectually superior but the intelligence of some people, especially many of the youth of today, really make me hate humanity sometimes.

Thanks Hugh, that was a very interest watch and highlighted my question nicely. Could be argued that useful ancient techniques are being forgotten and todays technology is shortening memories and attention spans.

I read one of Derren Browns books once which had a similar method for remembering things. I have a poor memory and managed to learn a long list of items, which ironically I have since forgotten.

I have a guy on my Facebook I used to work with around 5 years ago, he also used to MC on DnB nights we used to run and he seems like a perfectly normal guy.

As of about 3 years ago he began to believe he is a medium, as in, can talk to spirits. He attends medium meetings which I assume is basically a gathering of formerly abused women with low self esteem who tell people they can talk to dead people... maybe these are just my pejudices but whatever, not important.

About a year ago a spirit told him that his 2 year old boy is not his, which apparently he suspected because he has erectile problems and so "can't have much sex anyway," he demanded a dna test which she refused to do, in his mind this confirmed the fact the boy was not his and he left her.

She ended up doing the test which confirmed the child was his and everything went back to normal... until a spirit told him that the boy was not his and the father was a man who works in the lab that did the test and he changed the results. He left his girlfriend and child again again.

Now I'm a big believer in each to there own, personally I think the guy is either bat shit crazy or just avoiding his responsibilites but whatever, his story doesn't really bother me.

What bothers me is I HAVEN'T SPOKEN TO HIM IN 5 GOD DAMN YEARS. I know all this because he posts it on facebook, it is public knowledge, he has over 500 friends who now know he is either a total nutter or a total scumbag... and some of these people actually comment on these posts with stuff like "oh my god, I cant beleieve she would do that to you" and "oh my god I wish I had spirits looking out for me like you do" etc.

So yes, people are stupid, they are stupid and now they want to share it with you.

Most personal trainers these days are in it purely to pull women and don't care about helping people, Personal Training is about changing peoples lifes, changing the way they look, feel and boosting there confidence so they become a better person its doesn't matter your size or shape I will not jus help you with your appearance I will help your confidence and make you fell good about yourself so you no longer have to hide away THIS IS REAL PERSONAL TRAINING #WorkHardPlayHard

Yeah, ive got a mate who is a personal trainer and just posts 'inspirational' status' all the time.

I have another who owns a gym and literally posts the most amount of shit and pictures of himself all day, in between workouts. My feed is literally full of just him all the time but im not complaining, he is a huge tattoo headed animal.
