cmgoodman1226 wrote:I apologize if this has already been asked. It's similar to the previous question. Let's say I draw an automation clip for the amplitude of one synth, and I want that same automation clip to do the same thing to the cutoff on a low cut filter on another synth (not necessarily the same EXACT clip, just the same exact automation). Is there a way to copy and paste or save what exactly the automation clip looks like on a different parameter? Like, is there a way to clone the automation of one parameter and use it on another?
You could just link the parameter to the automation controller by clicking "Link to controller" then just select the automated controller and uncheck remove conflicts.
Anyways - is there a way to accurately automate track tempo changes rather than using an automation controller link to the project tempo, because whenever I do this I can never getthe track to switch to the exact tempo and back again. E.g. 175bpm>140bpm>175bpm.

yeah set tempo to 175 then right click & make an automation clip, the default tempo will be set. leave FL on stop and set the tempo to 140 then right click, Copy Value, create a point on the automation clip where you want the song to be 140bpm and then right click it, paste value. do the same again to change back to 175.

Yo, isn't there supposed to be a way to hit a modifier key and have the automation point stay at the same level. Swear there was, but snot working here. Am I tripping?

the only way i know to do that is with FL keyboard controller, open it on the generator section then choose a parameter you want to automate and Link to controller, then just select fruity keyboard controller and you'll be able to choose using the white keys/both black and white keys on your midi keyboard. you will see numbers from 0.00 to 1.00 on keys that are highlighted on fruity keyboard controller so just tweak the selection to preference and you will get held automation points just by pressing keys.

I asked this on the IL forum a year or two ago, and got zero response. They were like you don't know how to set up a template, noob!
Assholes.

How can I mono below a desired frequency on a channel of choice?
I know In the mixer if you turn one of the dials down the bottom right you can mono the channel if you turn it to the right full. What happens if you turn it to 3 0 clock tho?

It slightly forces it to be mono instead of being like, nah bitch, both the channels will sound exactly the same.

Is it possible to copy automation data from one project to another?

Yeah data stays in the clipboard if you open other projects and paste it.
In the automation events channel window, click the menu button on top left and in the Articulator > Copy State, then on the new one Paste State. Can also save the automation file on your hard drive and import it any time.

How does everyone set up their workflow and such? I just have it like, playlist one bottom, step sequencer on top of that, and then mixer under it, with the plugin i'm working with on the very top. It's messy, but i can bang shit out pretty quickly.
Anyone have a more sane arrangement going on?

The midi stuff?
Thats for routing purposes; I'm pretty sure you need that to route midi out.

yeah what SJ said, ive tested it out after deleting all that stuff i didnt want, ableton works really well with rewire so i just set up a midi track in able and set it on there what i want to control in FL. i guess i just have to delete that stuff when i want a blank template.

Maximus, on the low band, set stereo separation to 100% merged. It's the only thing I use Maximus for.
As for the rewire bunch of channels template, go new from template, other, patch bank. Delete all the stuff you don't want and overwrite the .flp in projects\templates\other\patch bank.
I thiiink that would work.

It's been probably answered already but I cannot find it.
Anyway...I load a sample in to a sampler and i want the sound to last only for as long as i have drawn the midi note, but it continues playing until the end of the sample. What do i have to change? Thanks in advance

move the CRS knob (i think its that one, its one of the knobs right above the waveform that puts the red lines around the wavefrom), move that knob just 1% so it puts the loop markers around it, then hit the bix towards the top of the sampler windown labeled "use loop points"
