Plastikman - Consumed is pretty much the holy grail of minimal IMO.
Why do you have to move on surely there is space for different styles of music in such a place ?struggle wrote:minimal is and has been the sound here in seattle for too long. like to see some people move on to something new...like dubstep!
Tell me about it.I work late nights now so my only days off are saturday and sunday.Gutted.Fuckin love everything on Skull Disco an all.EFA wrote:You should have come to that last Futureproof mate, Skull Disco in the main room and Inxec outback, local minimal legend that bloke

don't get me wrong..i love to hear different styles. i come from a techno background and most of what i play lately is influenced by the genre. i just feel like some are hanging on to played out sounds without giving other possibilities a chance.Baron_von_Carlton wrote:Why do you have to move on surely there is space for different styles of music in such a place ?struggle wrote:minimal is and has been the sound here in seattle for too long. like to see some people move on to something new...like dubstep!
Personaly i would like to see a night playing both styles in my home town.I think the two styles could work very well together. Not in the same room but i could easily flit between the two over a evening.

ahhhh...it is so lovely seeing so many people working many different genres into their mixsets. music is opening up and i love it when the subgenrefication starts to melt back into "just good music".marty wrote:no one mentioned petr inspirescu yet!

minimal/dubstep/2-step and "otherstep" going hand in hand. enjoy.
Nice.At this rate i dont see myself buying any music for a very long time. Can you actually donate money directly to the artists? I can only see a paypal sign on the actual netlabel sites. It still amazes me that such great music is given away for free
