I can't really think of anyone else who sounds like them so there's not many others going in their "direction". I'm a sucker for electronic music with live drums. Its part of why I love The New Deal and STS9 so much and EOTO's drummer is sick. Producers have gotten so used to every sound being manufactured and then replayed that they've lost respect for the art of live music and improvisation. Definitely not the most refined synths ever, but I like the crunch in em and feel that its gunna expand into something even better.
And to be honest, I seldom listen to EOTO's tracks on my ipid or comp. But they put on a damn fine live show.
dude, come on we are enjoying our trolling and here you come re-trolling us with your good vibes and your fractals speaking of lost magical half-way decent live shows. come on, let us placate ourselves.
and if you want good live electronica you need jaga jazzist, some of tortoise's albums, skapel and more if you care to ask. Nothing unique or special about eoto.

haha ok ok, I'm just saying they're not the dubstep antichrist like they're being made out to be. I still reserve that title for Mt Eden, Nero and new Rusko. I will check those acts out when I get home, tho. I really like jazz mixed with electronic like Big Gigantic does.

You can safely assume that anyone who uses this phrase doesn't have anything at all intelligent to say.

Haha true true...last show I was at it was a smaller venue, packed full of people that were all fucked out of their minds just gettin DOWN! There were so many people on drugs that I caught a second hand buzz...kinda odd to feel like I was outa my head on a pill yet sober aside from a couple beers!

You have to give them credit for doing what they're doing.
Having fun, playing with music.
Coda on the other hand (imo the best live dubstep band in the world) have managed to get a production sound and play it live!
