I loved the whole beginning of fallout 3. Living in a vault and having to escape was a special moment. I just wish the game had the hardcore mode that new vegas had as i love the whole survival aspect of the game, having to loot and explore is so fun and rewarding.

This.
Skyrim sounds amazing from the pre-trailer descriptions. I'm waiting for Skyrim, Forza 4 and Arkham City.
Off-topic: And the iPhone Lite, which comes out at the same time as the iPhone 5.

I think i prefer fallout 3 to new vegas. Fallout 3 is grittier and the world feels more hostile. New vegas has better weapons and the hardcore mode. Does anyone else think that new vegas has worse graphics than fallout 3?

Still not played it, though the videos I've watched the graphics seem to be pretty much the same?

Fallout 3 has a lot of underground areas like the subways and more urban environments. new vegas has more rural and open areas, also some nice easter eggs and suprises if your a fan of the older fallout games aswell.
Edit: I think the graphics are lower res but maybe its my tv.

fallout 3 and new vegas, although are brilliant games, look bloody aweful on an SDTV, its almost ps1 graphics, however, most games are like that for me anyway though. i think they both have their charms, f3 being more focused on attention to detail (imo) and NV being more combat and politically focused (imo)

if you havent already bougt it, id recommend la noire. it was a bit gauling to pay £40 for it when it was brand new, but i reckon second hand for £20 is worth it.
even if only for the end...

ummm, i dont think they did. they just fell out with rockstar didnt they?
some rockstar exec recently said that the "sequel won't take 5 years, we promise".
i think rockstar have all the rights and shit. they just won't get team bondi to do it again.
there's been loads of stories about how basdly team bondi treated their staff, forcing them to work 12 hours days and then sacking them if they refused etc etc.
would love to play a beter thought out, more in depth, properly open world prohibition chicago or new york one.
watched "the naked city" recently and its just made me want to play la noire again so badly. so i did!

Good fun but way too short. Plus the boss fights required little skill later on in the game once I'd maxed out the EMP grenades. Set pieces are pretty spectacular, not a massive fun of some of the QTEs. Plenty of replay value as you can choose different weapons to upgrade as you progress.
