Said it was the most bitter thing he'd ever tasted, then he went rare in the library. Found him on a beanbag in a dark corner at the end of the day.

Yeah that ones old along with the LSD remaining in your spinal cord for life wives tale. More scare tactics from the reagan era like cannabis killing brain cells, whereas new actual research suggests it can promote brain cell growth.

I can't agree with this enough!
You can really abuse psychedelics and make them meaningless or you can do amazing things with them. I've tripped maybe 7 or 8 times in the last 12 months and every single one of those trips has been incredible. Since I first took shrooms last year I've had good trips, bad trips, and trips that took me way beyond where I ever imagined I could go. I have had one life changing trip (today might have been the second), but each has been incredible and the bad trips were always good ones the next day.

Took LSD for my first time today and it was incredible, I feel so... Open.
Gave me a whole new appreciation for so many things, particularly relationships and other people. It was a really humbling and challenging experience, but so rewarding.

I've fucked with Adderall and MDMA a couple times, but they didn't feel like learning experiences to me, and so I don't see myself taking them again.
Honestly I would say don't fuck with painkillers, I have a friend who just about ruined his life between Opiates and other stuff, and I worked with a guy who called in sick to work regularly because he was withdrawing so bad.
Is it worth it? I'm sure they can be fun but I'm personally not going to go there.

As a general rule I stick strictly to psychedelics and I work so hard to make them positive experiences every time.
I have been mentally preparing for my acid trip that I had today for a WEEK and it was amazing, and worth all the prep work.
When you DO take psychedelics make sure you take them super seriously... It requires as much work as DJing a show or something, you are going to be on some really wild drugs for a serious amount of time. Be committed and have fun : )
Psychedelics have a lot to offer and I'm only scratching the surface! Wait a few years though man, I was definitely not stable enough at 15 for that shit and I don't think most people are.
Trust me though... Its worth it ; )

Patience my friend! Psychedelics promote change but they also demand it... You need to be in the right place to get what you want out of them and your first trip WILL take you for a fucking ride. Make sure you're ready!
