Constructive about what? Hopefully someone's getting out of the rigidity of it just being 140 or 100 or whatever.

I actually meant to say earlier that 112 is the new 107 BPM.

Check this dope tune from 1998, flipside to a drum&bass record by Hidden Agenda, 112 BPM. Extremely funky, sorry no mid-range bass, just pure vibes.

I think they are dancing at about 136 BPM. Someone else please confirm this.

Edit, I think it's at 75 bpm but the girl on the left def has the 16th note moves. :U:

Well, if they are dancing at about 75 bpm as I am hypothesizing than that should almost match up.

Actually, they probably are dancing to some drum and bass. Who the fuck dances to 75 bpm??

Maybe some head nods or something.

Maybe I should have elaborated on my tongue in cheek statement.

Back in the day when Dubstep was a fresh new thing, people were just exploring and experimenting creating new sounds, this is a big part of what drew me into Dubstep all those years ago. Agreed most tunes were at 140, but this wasnt always the case, take Burial for example quite sure he has a lot of differnt bpms, I wouldnt say his tunes arnt dubstep, just more experimental and creative, not following a set popular formular, and this results in better music. It seems nowdays if you talk to the average person they know Dubstep to be the formulaic midrange based sound that we might term "Brostep"

It the same with dnb, when it began it was experimental, creative & adventureous. There was no set bpm, rules or formula. Unknown territory.

Id encourage people to take note of this, experiment, dont be obsessed with bpms and formulas, discover whats there inside your own mind, explore the Unknown territory, instead of worrying about trying to follow a formula and be like someone else ( ie Skrillex).

You could be the next Burial, with your own unique sound...

Imagine Burial sat around all day trying to make the new Skrillex bass, he wouldnt have unlocked his potential...

Thats what I meant... :)

Burials sound isnt very unique to be fair, i heard alot of other producers making deep stuff like his with rain samples, pitched vocals, twisted drums etc.
listen to the solitude mixes on soundcloud
not hatin burial he makes gooood shit, just sayin

*edit* no need to nitpick, I Used Burial as an example. My point still stands.

To me Burials sound is unique, he has his influences but we all have our influences. But this is beside the point. Maybe go back and read what I said again to get my point....

or just know that I heard Burial is making a brostep album :6:

Actually 107 BPM is really hot. I'm enjoying some slow house at this tempo. I've been digging out some disco records at this tempo too.
