sometimes dj's keep tunes for too long on dubplate imo, but i love it in the dance, wen u can hear a certain dj mixing in a fresh beat that youve only heard on the radio week before, thats only been spun a couple of times. Cus you know that its going to go fukin nuts, like at exodus other week, wen Benga let chest boxin remix destroy the dance, love it when that happens. Also Skream - simple cities just sends everyone mental, gotta love it when you hear those tunes that make u think, thats y there behind the 1's and 2's and not me haha

I have no problems with dubplates its there music to do what they want with, but one thing thats a shame is when you get great tracks which everyone wants and then they disappear to not be heard again a good example being Skreams remix of Sunship - Almighty Father i think we all wanted this to be released and i havent heard it for time at a dance!

let me add something here.
i am a bit in the middle of this discussion. i think exclusivity is very important for a growing music scene but too much of it can be harmful. for exmaple if too much of the music doesn't get released or if people have to wait for the tunes like 1 year..
i mean, the labels could do a bit better and release a bit more of the tunes a bit quicker. i think they are way to careful with how much they release and sometimes too slow. they could sell more tunes than they do right now which would be an improvement for the dubstep-scene overall..

i think my views on this are irrelevant, its up to the producer who made the tune.

I'm not a sound engineer so I don't know about all that 'sounds better' stuff, but one reason is because they don't have the rights for the samples used in their songs...
