i worked in one of the local student pubs for the whole of freshers, it was disgusting, we were no better at the time though. i didn't go to any club nights at the time, just hung out with other people in halls etc

Not all of them. Just the ones who get enjoyment out of dressing up like a ponse & drinking £1 wkd all night. Which unfortunately is most of them.

I'd rather pay to go to a good night & put up with expensive drinks. Or just jam in halls & get messy.

yeah im glad i was never into fancy dress etc, just seems like a lot of wasted effort. did used to enjoy the horrible £1 entry dives we went to after a while, for which i can only apologise
