The automatic doors at the grocery store take an extra second longer to open than the ones at the store down the street.

Took a different route to work on the metro this morning. Whilst it was technically quicker, and I had a seat for the whole journey and didn't have to change, it got me to the station a couple of minutes after the earlier train, so I instead had to sit and wait for eight minutes to wait for the next train, thus not saving me any time at all.

Have spent the remaining journey weighing up the pros/cons of having a seat but having to wait vs. probably having to stand but having a seamless journey from A to B on the way in.

I'm probably going to go with the seat/wait option.

no rugby union game on tonight, have to wait for an hour and a half for tonights rugby league game. even worse there's nothing else to watch on the telly
